 September 3rd   I met my mates and my teachers in Lecce. 

We  left at 6.30 a.m. by coach and arrived at the airport at 8.30. 

We  had  a  break  and  now  we're waiting  for  the  departure;  our flight  is  late.  I'd  like  to  sleep  a bit more!

It's  7.30  p.m.  and  we've  just arrived  in  London.  I  can't believe it!

September 4th

Dear Diary,Today  is  4th  September  and we got up  at  6.00  o’clock,  we  had breakfast at 7.00 o’clock and than we went to school. 

At school we did a test and we had a lesson. 

In  the afternoon we visited many of London’s  important  monuments, such  as  Trafalgar  Square, Downing  St.,  the  Palace  of Westminster and the London Eye.

 September 5th  Dear Diary,Today,  5th  September,  we  got  up  at 6.00  o’clock,  we  had  breakfast  at 7.00  o’clock  and  then  we  went  to school. At school we did a lesson. 

In  the  afternoon  we  went  shopping and at 8.00 o’clock we had dinner. 

I  met  a  Caribbean  man  who  wanted me to go to the Caribbean with him and  he  told me  that  he wanted  to paint a picture of me.

September 6th  What  a  beautiful  day!  It's  often sunny here, but it is so windy.

This  morning  we  learnt something  about  clothes  and we  had  a  conversation  about shopping and acted it out. 

After  lunch  we  took  the  tube from  Oxford  Circus  to Knightsbridge  Station  to  go  to Harrods  (everything  is expensive there). 

It's 6 o'clock now and I'm waiting for  our  teachers...  I'm  hungry and very bored!

September 7th Dear Diary,This morning I went to school. After  I  had  lunch,  I  went shopping  and  I  bought  some souvenirs. 

In  the  afternoon  I  went  to  St. Paul’s and  then  I  returned  to the hotel after I had dinner. 

Fortunately it was sunny

September 8th  We got up at 8 o'clock, got dressed, had  breakfast  and  then  we  took the tube to go to St. Paul's; so, we visited  St.  Paul's  Cathedral  and the Tate Modern  in the morning: the  Cathedral  is  beautiful,  but  I didn't enjoy the museum, in fact I really  liked  only  two  or  three pictures.

After  that  we  visited  the  Tower  of London  and  Tower  Bridge:  I  was really excited to do this!

Our teacher offered us a cake for her birthday... such a good cake!

 

September 9th We got up at 5.30 a.m. because we had to leave London; we arrived at school at  8  o'clock  but  we  waited  for  the departure  until  9.30!  The  coach was late!

We  visited  one  of  the  most  beautiful castles in the world: Leeds Castle. We walked for 15 minutes to reach it but it  was  worth  the  walk  because  the castle  is  very  beautiful...  there  were lots of ducks, too. 

After  lunch  we  went  to  Canterbury where  we  visited  the  Cathedral  and we  went  shopping.  I  enjoyed  it  but now  I'm  very  tired.  My  feet  really hurt! Good night!

September 10th Dear Diary,today I got up at 6 o’clock. After I had breakfast, I went to school by tube. 

Then I had lunch, I saw the Paralympic parade  in  Trafalgar  Square  and visited  the  British  Museum.  The weather was cloudy. 

In the evening I went to the restaurant where  I  had  dinner  and  then  I returned to the hotel by tube.

September 11th 

Today we got up at 6.00 o’clock and we had  breakfast  at  7.00  o’clock.  We went to school and we did a lesson. 

After  school we visited  the Victoria  and Albert museum. It  is very interesting! At 6.00 p.m. we went shopping and at 7.00 o’clock p.m. we ate dinner. I ate salad and pasta carbonara. 

In  the  evening  we  went  to  Roberta’s rooms to celebrate her 18th birthday!

September 12th 

Dear Diary,this morning I went to school, then I  had  lunch  and  I  went  to Greenwich  by  boat.  There  I visited the Discover Greenwich. 

In  the  evening  I  returned  to  the hotel by tube. While I was going to the restaurant, it rained. 

After  I  had  had  dinner,  I  went  to the hotel by tube.

September 13th This  morning  our  teacher  Mrs. Rossi  left  and  went  home  to Lecce.

When  we  finished  school  we went  to  the  Harry  Potter's platform  (platform  9  ¾)  and took some photos. We haven't visited  anything  today.  It's  4 p.m.  now  and  we  are  having some relaxation at the hotel.

The  other  teacher  will  have arrived  in  two or  three hours' time. I'm hungry! Bye bye

September 14th Today we had a test at school and I got a good mark. 

After lunch we visited the Science Museum  where  I  saw  a  lot  of interesting things about Maths, Science,  the  atmosphere, energy, etc. 

I  liked  it  a  lot  and  I  played  there too:  there  are  games  about your  brain,  your  body  and many other topics.

Later  we  went  for  a  walk  to Camden Town. I'm going to bed now. Good night

 September 15th 

Dear Diary,On Saturday we got up at 6.00 o’clock and we had breakfast. 

We went to Bath by bus, we visited The Roman Baths and we went shopping. 

In the evening we went to the restaurant and we had dinner. 

September 16th

Dear Diary,On Sunday we got up at 8.00 a.m. and we had breakfast. We visited Buckingham Palace and Westminister Palace. 

We had lunch in Hyde Park. We went to the Hard Rock café and we went to other shops. 

In the evening we went to the restaurant for dinner.

September 17th  Dear Diary,this  morning  I  had  breakfast and  I went  to school. Then  I had  lunch  and  I  visited  the National Portrait Gallery and the National Gallery. 

After  I  went  shopping  and  I went  to  the  restaurant where I had dinner. 

Finally  I  returned  to  the  hotel by tube.

 

September 18th After  school  we  visited  the Natural  History  Museum which  is  really  interesting; there are different areas: blue zone,  orange  zone,  red  zone and  green  zone  where  I  saw the bodies of many animals.

Before we went back to the hotel to  relax,  I  bought  a  white  t-shirt  “I  LOVE  LONDON”  at Stratford center. 

I'm having dinner now, bye bye!

September 19th 

Dear Diary,this  morning  I  had  breakfast and I went to school.

Then I had lunch and I went to China  Town.  In  the afternoon I returned to the hotel  where  I  slept  and  I studied. 

In  the  evening  I  had  dinner and I returned to the hotel.

September 20th Dear Diary,today  I  had  breakfast  and  I went  to  school.  Then  I  had lunch and I went to Highgate Cemetery  where  I  saw  Karl Marx’s tomb.

In  the  evening  I  had  dinner  in the  Italian  restaurant  and  I went out with my friends. 

Finally  I  returned  to  the  hotel by bus.

 

September 21th This  was  the  last  day  at school,  so  we  were happy  about  that;  we took  a  photo  with  our teacher Warren.

We  decided  to  wear smart  clothes  this evening  but  it  is raining. 

We are enjoying ourselves a lot, however.

September 22th  Dear Diary,this  morning  I  had  breakfast  and  I  went  to Leicester Square to take the bus to go to Cambridge. There  I visited the University, the Cathedral and then I had lunch. In the afternoon  I  returned  to  London,  I  went shopping  with  my  friends  and  in  the evening I had dinner. 

Then  I  returned  to  the hotel  by bus but I didn’t sleep because at 3:00  am  there was  the flight  to return  to  Italy.  It  was  an amazing  experience  and  I  hope to return to London soon!
