Lohri Celebrations at Maya Garden

Lohri is a beautiful festival celebrated amongst the Punjabi folks mainly, although people from all castes and creed participate in it. This festival is very important because it not only lets people enjoy in the festive spirit, but also celebrates the hard work of all our Indian farmers. India’s first occupation is farming and agriculture, and this occasion is celebrated to pay respect to the farmers.

We, at Maya Garden, celebrated Lohri with utmost pleasure and enjoyment. The entire residential complex was decorated with flowers and LED lights, making it glisten completely. As the festival is celebrated at night, it was important for us to properly light up the complex. In the centre of park, we started a bonfire. All our residents helped in collecting the material required and everyone lighted the bonfire together.

People took turns revolving around the bonfire and performed the proper rituals of the Lohri pooja. Following which, we switched on some music, and everyone danced and celebrated with one another. The entire area of celebration was filled with all our residents living in our apartments in Zirakpur. People embraced each other on this joyous occasion and got to interact with one another. We like festivals because it gives us the chance to let our residents interact with one another.

After that, all the people indulged in some feast and merrymaking. First, everyone got the Lohri Prasad which consisted of popcords, sesame laddoos, etc. Then people started eating the well organised pot luck dinner. Everyone got homemade food items and shared it with one another. It was a joyous evening for all of us as we enjoyed together and had a great time. We made some new friends, and everyone got a break from their busy lives. The investors who have trusted Maya Garden and invested in one of our upcoming residential cum commercial green project of apartments in Zirakpur named “Maya Garden Avenue” were also cordially invited in the celebration. They also appreciated the way we celebrate the festivals in coherence.

We celebrated with all our residents of flats in Zirakpur and had a good time with. It is such a festival that invites everyone to celebrate and strike a bond with one another. We hope a lot of festive occasions like these are organized in the future and you all have a great time with us.
