Looking at various logos by well known hip hop artist it appears that they like to use more block capitals or futuristic/graffiti in the logos with little or no images to represent them by.

They also tend to use bright retro colours which makes it seem more associated with raves and clubs. They also tend to use bright retro colours which makes it seem more associated with raves and clubs.

However I believe that the tattoo where the scar is on Professor Green plays a huge part in the representation of him and is an iconography of him.

Font Design Research

This font is calligraphy which would be very good as logo for Professir Green as it is good reference to an exsisting iconography of him.

The retro font is they typical font within hip-hop as it is associated with raves and clubs which works well with his genre of music

This font is a more comic font which is quite interesting as it looks more dynamic and for a super hero character which would be good to represent him as

This font I found very peculiar as it looked good as a logo however because of fire being a genre iconography for rock music I found it more for someone of that genre.

The colour blue is used a lot in hip hop as uses represents them as cool and fresh.

This colour would be very good to use as it makes good reference to name of professor green (it being his name). Its not well used with hip hop srtist but is a good iconography for his name

Purple is used a lot for the genre of professor green as I represents the artist as a retro/raving sort of person

Red isn't used much in hop as it tends to be related more to the likes of rock and similar genres however bright red does provide a bright vibrant atmosphere

Overall Black is mostly associated with death evil and genres like rock but however Black shades are well known genre iconographies of Hip-HopPink is used for Pop which could be argued as the genre of Professor Green but it is usually associated with Girl bands etc.
