LOGO AND TRADEMARK GUIDELINES

SDC logos and the phrase STUDEBAKER DRIVERS CLUB® are registered trademarks of the Stude-baker Drivers Club, Inc. As such, their usage and treatment are protected and governed by the Studebaker Drivers Club through its elected and appointed officials.

These guidelines specify the requirements for using and displaying the SDC logo. Any usage beyond that which is specified herein is prohibited unless expressly approved by the SDC Trademark Admin-istrator or his/her appointed assistant.

Commercial Usage:The SDC logo may NOT be used with or on any products or services by any individual or business entity without express written permission of the Studebaker Drivers Club, Inc. If the business owner is an SDC member in good standing, logo usage is also governed by “Member usage” below.

Member Usage:SDC members in good standing may display the SDC logo, either in order to identify him/herself; such as a personal calling card, personal stationery, or personal web page.

If a member offers goods or services, reference to their membership in the SDC can be included in advertisements, catalogs, brochures, business web site or business cards ONLY by using the phrase, “Studebaker Drivers Club® Member” or “SDC Member”. The SDC logo must NOT be used and any mention of SDC membership must not imply club endorsement of any goods or services offered. As in “Commercial Usage” the logo may NOT be used on any product without permission.

SDC Chapter Identification:SDC Chapters in good standing have the right to use the SDC trademark to identify their chapter affiliation or in combine with their chapter name or chapter logo.

Chapter Projects:If a chapter uses the SDC logo on any fund raising project or otherwise, they must first apply for per-mission by sending in a short statement of the intended usage and purpose to the Trademark Adminis-trator, [email protected]. Upon approval, written permission will be given. (This will permit SDC to keep records of the trademark usage.)

Violations:When a violation has been found, the Trademark Administrator or appointed assistant will notify the violator to cease and correct the violation. If the violator is a chapter or member, then a notice will be sent requesting that a request for approval be submitted.

SDC LOGO COLORSOnly the colors shown here are deemed acceptable for displaying the SDC logo. Usage in any other solid color requires written approval from the SDC Trademark Administrator or appointed assistant. Under no circumstances shall multiple colors be used within the logo other than that shown in the “full color” version. For logo reproduction circumstances where Pantone (PMS) colors or their CMYK or RGB equivalents cannot be used, such as thread colors for embroidered items, the producer is to choose colors that most closely visually match the approved SDC colors. The New MODERN LOGO is designed to be used in color as shown.

Digital files for these approved logos in a variety of formats for print and Web are available upon valid request. SDC Dark Blue Logo:Reflex Blue; C= 100, M= 88,

Y= 0, K= 5

SDC Red Logo:PMS 186; C= 0, M= 100,

Y= 81, K= 4

Tire sidewall, between spokes and Stude script: White

SDC Full Color Logo:Banner and outside edge: PMS 186; C= 0, M= 100, Y= 81, K= 4

Tire wall: 10% Black (K= 10)

Rim & spokes: 100% Black (K= 100)

Between spokes (blue): PMS 279; C= 68, M= 34, Y= 0, K= 0

Lettering: 100% Black (K= 100)

NOTE: Under certain circumstances usage of the logo in a different single solid color MAY be permitted upon prior request and approval.

SDC “Modern” Full Color Logo:Red half:PMS 186; C= 0, M= 100, Y= 81, K= 4

Blue half: Reflex Blue; C=100, M=90, Y=10, K=0

Inner & Outer Double Rings: Reflex Blue; C=100, M=90, Y=10, K=0

Lettering: 100% Black (K= 100)

“S” and background inside the design: White

Note: It is permissable to print this logo in grayscale for B&W uses.

SDC LOGO DOʼS AND DONʼTSWhen using the SDC logo in printed documents, web sites and on garments and other items, please follow these guidelines to ensure proper presentation and clarity of the logo. Exceptions to these requirements are by written request and prior approval. If in doubt, contact the SDC Trademark Administrator.

DONʼT remove the registered trademark symbol ® from the logo...ever!

DO ensure that there is adequate contrast between the logo and the background or other design elements.

DONʼT use a “reversed” logo EXCEPT if adequate contrast is impossible to achieve

DO make sure that the logo is the uppermost element if incorporated into a multi-element design (meet graphic, emblem, promotional items, etc.), That means...

DONʼT cover up any part of the logo!

DONʼT create new multi color combinations... even with the best of intentions!

DO always orient the logo properly!

DO contact the SDC Trademark Administrator or appointed assistant if you have any questions about authori-zation and proper usage of the SDC logo!

Acceptable, but not recommended if another alternative is possible.
