The Brief to Improve the Existing Logo

• The logo does not boldly assert Islam Group’s legacy from the Pioneer of Bangladeshi Business.

• The logo is less visible in different media e.g. print, letterhead, business card etc. due to thin typography-‘G’.

• The Logo needs balance and strong color to make it dominant and contemporary.

Balance is a key component in most logo designs.  It is an equilibrium that results from looking at images and judging

them against our ideas of physical structure.

Dominance is what determines where the eyes land first based on visual weight and where certain aspects of a design

are dominant over others.

The Harley Davidson logo shows symmetrical balance because the outline of the whole logo is symmetrical over a vertical axis. The sizing of the letters is also symmetrical.

The Pepsi within the circle is proportionally much larger than the background which shows dominance.  This is what draws your eyes to the Pepsi name first before the rest of the elements.

The IG typo shows a symmetrical balance because the typo is symmetrical over a horizontal and vertical axes. The sizing of the letters is also symmetrical while also creating contrast and bringing attention to IG.

• The logo stands out in the crowd of logos and expresses the identity of Islam Group in the way it deserves.

• It will inform the present and future generations about the proud legacy of Mr. Jahurul Islam which now Islam Group upholds.

Bringing the Logo to Life

• The logo is useless unless the company uses it with consistency. Following slides will explain the usage of logo in order to keep the corporate identity consistent and uniform even where a company has several ventures.
