Supply chain efficiency largely depends on data and information – how it is collected, processed, stored, updated, interpreted, understood, and exploited. On an operational level, logistics actors need real-time information to make effective decisions. On a technical level, transport systems need increased connectivity. Existing systems are not inter-linked, therefore missing the opportunity to optimise their cooperation.
The AEOLIX Platform connects logistics information systems with different characteristics, intra- and cross-company, for immediate (real-time) exchange of information. Every logistics company can connect to the platform and, upon certain conditions, have information on operations relevant to them, every step of the way.
AEOLIX is a pan-European project co-funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Programme. AEOLIX has developed 12 services, demonstrated and validated in 12 locations across Europe under real-life conditions across the entire supply chain.

AEOLIX automatically translates ‘data format’ from different IT systems giving companies the ability to rapidly react through a customised dashboard.
In this way, AEOLIX overcomes bottlenecks and provides the supply chain actors with accurate, reliable and trusted data in a secure environment.
