Logic puzzles are a great way to wake up the brain and test one’s ability to think clearly. They can be challenging but most of all, logic puzzles are really fun!
Logic Puzzles for Beginners
Happy Puzzling�
Tips for students:• Read the introduction to see what needs to be solved.• Use the grid like a detective’s notebook to record the information you know to be true.
• Read through all the clues and fill in the facts that you discover as you go along.
• Look at the grid to see if you can figure out anything from the clues you recorded.
• Then go back and reread the clues to see if you can find any new information. Often, you will be able to use clues or find new information that was not usable the first time.
• Use deductive reasoning. That means you should only use what you know is true to figure out the answer.
• Guessing or using opinions might give the wrong answer. • If you use the clues given, you can solve the puzzle.

April gets a rainy day puzzle; February gets a Valentine’s Day theme, etc. Cute images makes it less daunting for young puzzles solvers. These are what are known as 2x5 single matrix puzzles in that there are 2 variables and 5 differ-ent options for each variable.

Each of these contain 4 difficulty levels per set. From our experience, age or grade level doesn’t always determine if a student can solve a particular logic puzzles. We have found that the different levels allow students of differing abilities to all succeed. Another plus? Those who have mastered the difficult levels take pride in helping others succeed.
