Logging in URL: www.healthwest.org.au/wp-admin

Enter your login details

Once you’ve logged in, you will have access to the back end of the site (as pictured below – editor version).

Dashboard Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see the WordPress Dashboard (below). This is your main

administration homepage.

Create a Page Go to ‘Pages’

Select ‘Add New’

Decide where the page will live on the site Select a parent page (under which your page will live) Give the page a title Insert content Select ‘update’ to publish.

Making the page visible Even though you’ve published the page, you still won’t be able to see it until you update the

menu structure

Updating the Menu Structure

Go to the dashboard Select ‘Appearance’ Select ‘Menu’

You must select your page from the list and add it to the menu (as per instructions above) Find your page at the bottom of the list of pages in the menu structure and move it to so that it

lives below the parent page you allocated it to Pages have hierarchies so you must ensure your page is in line with its hierarchy. For example”

o Level 1: About USo Level 2: Our Boardo Level 3: Meet the Board

(Notice in the image above the three levels are indented)

Edit a Page To access a page: hover over ‘pages’ Select ‘all pages’

From the list, select the page you wish to edit

Click on the page to access the page editor: Place the cursor in the text box and insert or update your content. Content can be edited by using the tools bar. Hovering over the tool symbols tells you what

that tool does. For a detailed description of each tool see page 24 - 29 of the WordPress guide.

Scroll down the page and follow the below instructions

HealthWest has an automated booking form. You should select HWP default to ensure you have the correct booking form. To amend the booking forms you must create a new form in forms.

Amend your event Once your event is published you can go in at any time and amend your event Go to events and click on your event

You can also see how many people have booked, delete or add bookings Go to the dashboard, select ‘events’ and then select ‘bookings’ Here you will see a list of people who have booked an event and you can update their booking

as you wish.
