(Ching,  2008)      Define  dome:  spherical  surface  with  a  circular  plan,  stacked  blocks,  continuous  rigid  structure.  Difference:  circumferential  forces;  compressive  at  the  crown  and  tensile  near  the  bottom.    Define  shells:  thin,  curved  plate.  Transmits  applied  forces  by  membrane  structures.  Little  bending  resistance.        MOISTURE  AND  THERMAL  PROTECTION
