Sit facing forward giving full attention to those on stage.

Remain quiet during the entire time a student is spelling.

Applaud appropriately for student spellers.

Speller Expectations Speak clearly, slowly, and loudly enough for the judges to hear

your spelling. Sit on stage quietly as not to distract the speller, audience, or

judges. Do not look up at the projection screen. Say the word, spell the word, repeat the word. If you restart you can not rearrange the letters already spoken. You may ask for a words:
