    Remove two (2) screws from interior handle and save for reuse.

    Remove interior and exterior handles and save for reuse. Remove lock lever and save for reuse.

    Unlock and open operating panel.

  • Note orientation of lock mechanism before removal:

    Pre-April 2015 Lock Mechanism: The original lock mechanism used on doors manufactured prior to April 2015 has been discontinued and replaced by a similar lock mechanism. Align the new lock thumb turn bushing to match the orientation of the lock being replaced.

    April 2015 to November 2016 Lock Mechanism: The actuator pins should be reinstalled in the same orientation.

    If replacing the April 2015 to November 2016 lock mechanism, the actuator pin should be reinstalled in the same orientation.

    Fasten lock mechanism using two (2) saved screws.Insert new lock mechanism with lock actuator pin or thumb turn bushing in the same orientation as determined in Step 6.

    If replacing the Pre-April 2015 lock mechanism, align the new lock thumb turn bushing to match the orientation of the lock being replaced.

    Position lock lever into lock mechanism until fully seated. Apply interior and exterior handles.

    Fasten handle using saved screws.

    Close and lock operating panel. Check for correct lock operation.

    ▶ Lock Mechanism replacement is complete.
