TRANSCRIPT
Dear Parents:
I hope everyone had a restful spring break. We are now into term three at our school. Your child will be
getting their report card early next week. Please review it with your child at home. Connections between
home and school remain very important and we know that families are doing what they can to make sure
their children are safe, happy and involved coming to the school. Please talk to your children about their
successes this term. What are their goals for next term? What can I continue to work on? Please arrange a
time to discuss any questions or concerns with your child’s teacher in the next week. Pink shirt day was
a good day to reflect on how we approach our relationships at the school while always working together
towards or own individual personalities. Students and staff wore pink shirts with pride and I was
impressed with the number of students who participated on this day. Our Chinese New Year assembly
was good and students presented many ideas during our month end assembly. Special thanks to Ms.
Volpe, Ms. Wu and Ms. Cowan for their leadership. Lastly, there are many projects now completed
throughout the hallways. Ms. Cowan’s class did a fantastic job with their reading evening. Please see
other artwork displayed throughout the hallways as we help celebrate your child’s learning. In April, we
are looking forward to our intermediate choir festival. We also have a wonderful PALS event for our
early learners. Thank you to Ms. Juma, Ms. Song and our three K teachers, Ms. Ross, Ms. Boyd and Ms.
Jiwa for helping run it. Also, our Seniors Tea is scheduled and we look forward to many visitors to our
school. Our tea conversations run by our LCSA have been very successful. Thank you Ayesha for
organizing them. We look forward to track season where numerous students from grades 4 to 7 will
participate in the Swangard Stadium meets. We also look forward to many wonderful events in our
school community. Lastly, Mrs. Sandhu is currently on medical leave and will not be returning for the
remainder of the year. She is taking this time to deal with some medical issues. Happy Spring everyone!

organising the club and field trip. We were also awarded a TD grant to connue our development of our Garden community and
