Location 1 – Flo’s House No.22 Chaveney Manor

We have chosen this location of Flo’s house as it is a traditional family home. It has a quirky décor with a homely feel which is good as we hope the audience will be able to associate them with a traditional English family home. This is where Flo, Sophie, Oscar and Harry will be chilling before getting ready to go out to a party, this is the main location for most of our opening sequence. This location also fulfills a common convention in Working Title productions and that is the representation of British life as upper middle class, despite the fact that it is actually only a small section of society. It can also appeal to the mass American market who respond to stereotypes of Britishness. This location is convenient as it is only 5 minutes away from Annabel’s house, and we are filming all of our shots in Quorn.

Location 2 – Quorn ParkStafford Orchard

School Lane Quorn

We have chosen Quorn Park as our other location because we wanted a skateboarding scene and felt that this was a perfect location. This is where Harry and Oscar meet before skateboarding down to Flo’s house, but due to Oscars lateness Harry gets agitated with him. The location also connotes freedom from the stresses of teenage years. This location is good as Annabel only lives 5 minutes away from it.

This is the bench we will be using when Harry is waiting for Oscar to come.
