Declan Tyldesley Location Reconnaissance Report The photos above show where the female singer will be positioned when she is singing the chorus of the song in most of the scenes. When we come to film at this location it will be just before dusk so it is fairly dark in the woods. At this set we will be shooting from a number of different camera angles to create shots such as LS, MS, CUS, PS and LAS. These types of shots will be very effective at this location because it will show a lot of the set in the background and when we perform the low angle shot it should show quite a dark sky to make it more intense. When relating to our storyboard’s the different scenes that we will be shooting here are scene numbers; 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 9. I have chosen this set because when we shoot these scenes at dusk it will be fairly dark at night; this is good because the female singer will stand out enormously when we filming because she will be wearing a bright coloured dress. However because this scene is shot at night we may need to use a slight bit of back lighting in order to make the set a bit more visible so the colours in the woods can improve the set. Hemit Dhanji

Location Reconnaissance Report

The photos above show where the female singer will be positioned when she is singing the chorus of the song in most of the scenes.

The three photos above show where the male singer will be positioned that is shown in the top two photos. Again when we come to film at this location the time of day will be around dusk to make the scenes that we film here a bit more intense. Also when we film on this road the street lights will be on so the viewers will quite clearly see that it is extremely close to night. At this location we will also be shooting at a number of different camera angles to make a lot of different shots such as; MS, LS, CUS, PS, TS, and LAS. However the male singer is not the only one that will be seen at this certain location because it will also show the young boy as he walks up the street towards his house. When I relate to our storyboards the scenes that we will be shooting here are scene numbers; 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9. I think this set will be very effective in the music video because throughout the song we can quite clearly tell that this is where the male singer grew up as a kid so this is where he spent his childhood. Also in the music video this is the most popular set in the music video for it is where both of the characters the male singer and the young boy grew up here; so this on the other hand will make each scene more emotional.

The three photos above show the set of the young boy’s house. The location of this house is on the same road where the male singer will perform his rap so it is like he is looking back at his childhood when all of the other scenes take place within the music video. One of the photos shows the exterior of the house and we will use a similar shot to this part way through the music video so the viewers can get an idea on that is where he grew up. The other two photos show the interior of the house one of them shows the stairs and we will be shooting a TS here when the young boy is walking up towards his room that you can see parsley in the other photo. In the photo you can see a bed and that is where the boy will fall to sleep as the picture of his Dad looks over him. The scene numbers that we will be shooting here is scene number 8. And also the shots we will use to shoot this scene are MS, TS, LS, CUS, ECUS and an OSS; these different types of shots should show the house in a lot of detail so the scene looks a lot better. I have chosen this set because we needed to add a bit more of an intense storyline so the viewers can get a better view on what this boy has been through.

The four photos above show the set of the church where the young boy will go when his Dad’s funeral takes place. This location is fairly close to the housing estate so when filming we will be able to get to this set very quickly. When we film at this set we will make sure to get a lot of exterior detail on the church so we can make the scenes more intense that we film here. We will be filming at this set at around dusk so it is a bit more tense and emotional so the audience understand the narrative side of things a bit better. The scenes that we will be shooting at this set are scene numbers; 3 and 4. The shots we will use to shoot these two scenes are; OSS, ES, MS, PS and LS. These different types of shots will show as much detail of the church as possible so when we film this music video scene will look very intense. Also when we film the two scenes the young boy will be stood just outside of the church so we can film an OSS and a PS so we can also see the boy’s emotion at this set. We have chosen this set because we are not following any of the stereotypes of an R&B music video when you see money abused or something on the line of that. But this set will be able to make our music video look a lot better with a religious set.

The photos above show a set in London and in this set the shots we will use are PS’s of the buildings and these shots will be shown at the start of the music video. When we film these shots only the exterior of the buildings will be shown and the time of day will just be around dusk. The reason we

are using PS’s for this seen because we will be able to show a lot more detail of the buildings so it looks a lot better when we put the footage together, when creating are music video. When relating to the story board the scenes we will be shooting at this set are scene number(s) 1. We have chosen this set because it will show a well-run industrial state at the start of the video and from this the viewers will be able to tell where the music video is set.
