Where do we see it going?
• Current codes of practice are an excellent base to build this industry from.
• They need to be addressed to cover all locating technologies and delivery platforms.
• As technologies converge whether cell-id, AGPS, GPS, WiFi, Spacial etc LBS providers are going to have to have, flexible processes to protect privacy and provide full traceability.
• Policing this technology is key to peoples confidence and the growth of a very exciting industry.
• Soon location will just become “location” whether it is cell-id, GPS, AGPS, RF, WiFi, RF, Matrix or whatever. Customer just wants benefits not technology.
