We plan to locate our business the heart of Oakland, located in Pittsburgh, Pa. The reasoning behind this is due the population of business workers, as well as college students attending the University of Pittsburgh, Carlow College, Carnegie Mellon, Chatham College. Those along with families and high schools located in Oakland, we plan to have a lot of dine-in and take-out for families on the go; also caterings for businesses or parties, and many campus food deliveries to campuses. The overall theme of our business is the beach scene. This will hopefully attract a variety of customers hoping to liven up those cold winter days.

Sandy Sandwich will be equipped with products for food which include baking, prepping, chopping boards, and coolers for our food. Our ovens from Remanufactured Conveyor Ovens. The business is MF&B Restaurant Systems, Inc is located in Dunbar, PA. It is their goal to sell the most dependable Remanufactured Conveyor Ovens in the business. They have a vast background in the Restaurant and Pizza business.

We will also have Flat screen TV’s for our customer’s viewing pleasure, whether a football or basketball game is on, and a certain news channel. Here is a preview of what our TV’s will look like and be displayed. Not only behind the counter, but also throughout the seating areas for a closer view.

With over 20 different grinders/hoagies to choose from, we will have a lot of produce to order in daily to keep our products fresh. From fresh sliced vegetables and meat, to homemade deli salads, fresh made salads, fresh baked cookies and pies, along with our carbonated and bottled drinks, bagged chips, plus much more!!

Web Design and Menus: Our web design and menus are one of the most important factors when modeling our business. It must be attractive and easily navigated for customer. Our layout will include a sandy beach scene to go along with our name. •RGM/Business Owner: This business is a husband/wife owned franchise. The owners have the biggest responsibilities of all. The RGM’s will be owned by husband and wife both combined. They will be in charge of the building of the restaurant, interior and exterior designs, inventory, hardware, networking, storage, data, employees and customers. The restaurant manager has to be available at all times. If there is a problem at the restaurant the manager is the one that is called. Every problem that arises has to go through the manager to ensure that the best possible outcome occurs. The restaurant manager is the heart of the business and makes the majority of the decisions and also makes sure that everything runs smoothly.

•Assistant manager: Thorough training in food preparation and restaurant management, you will participate in an extensive classroom and onsite training program covering preparation of Sandy Sandwich’s' exclusive oven-baked sandwich and fresh salad preparation techniques. 

•Shift Manager: This position is open to those who are willing to be leaders in our company, and willing to work different shifts throughout the day. They will be in charge of running the shift including shift changes, running sales revenue, controlling the employees, helping with training, interviewing, and handling customer complaints during the shift if any arise.

We will be using Home Office Suit to keep track of all our employee records.

The Sandy Sandwich which is located in the heart of Oakland, Pittsburgh, PA is there to fulfill cravings for our customers.
