The last 8 years Konttila has served as a nature- , information- and recreationplace

It’s located high up at the Puijo hill and about 3.2 kilometres from the centre of Kuopio

The area is six hectares There are thousands of visitors of each

age group every year

The oldest building was built in 1770

It has been as a small farming house

It was named after the last farmer who was Konttinen

It has been empty for decades

The owner and the host of the Konttila, Keijo Heikkinen

He studied economics in Finland and in Germany

He has also been travelling a lot in Spain and in Germany and actually he got the idea for his enterprise from his journeys

He started at Konttila over 8 years ago He recommends entrepreneurship for the

people who are technically and practically oriented and who are physically and mentally healthy and strong

He thinks that this kind of enterprise doesn’t fit for people who are greedy or to whom money is very important

The best thing in entrepreneurship is the freedom to make your own choises and develope your work the way you want
