About LRHIP About LRHIP

• Grant program – No Federal Aid Requirements

• Available to cities under 5,000 in population, counties with road and bridge departments, and highway districts.

• Matching funds are encouraged but not required.

• Four type of projects– Construction (including Federal-aid Match) – 75%

– Transportation Plans – 15%

– Signs – 10%

– Emergency

• LHJ MUST be assessing property or substitute tax – pg 1

• PDS or project extension due Sept. 30 – pg 2

• If any expenditure is $50,000 or more, the work must follow state procurement rules (Required by State Law) – pg 2

• Application back up information should be clear, follow page limits, and be organized to match application sheet.

• No spiral/permanent bound applications will be eligible.

• Original plus 12 copies MAILED or DELIVERD to LHTAC

Ratio by ITD District• All local roads within an eligible LHJ are eligible

for funding• Coordinate with state for projects that intersect the

submitting a signal application• Systemic improvements encouraged
