Sept 5 Clovis Storefront Art Gallery painting exchange is open to all Clovis Art

ArtHop program is sponsored by the Fresno Arts Council. It is a monthly
event featuring art exhibits in over 60 venues in Fresno County. Art venues
include galleries/artist studios, retail outlets and public spaces. To plant your

Sept 15 Meet the Artists At Sierra Vista Mall. 1:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m. Art-ists may set up a table to exhibit and sell art, prints, demonstrate or talk about their art. There is no charge. We will be at the east end of the Mall in front of rooms 1041, 1079 & 1081. 1079 will be open at 12:30 as a stag-ing area for artists who need to make multiple trips to their cars.

Sept 20 Call to Artists Kingsburg's Farmers Market Art Night: Kingsburg's Farmers Market invites all artists in the community to exhibit and sell their work during "Art Night" on September 20th from 5:00pm to 8:30pm on the 1400 block of Draper Street. There will be live Jazz music playing through the night and as al-ways, the Farmer's Market with fresh produce from around the Valley. For more information in regards to

Oct 21 Application Deadline for Pathways: A Sierra Art Trails Special exhibit. Awards - Cash awards will be as follows. Best of Show - $400, 1st place - $300, 2nd place - $200, 3rd place - $100. Pottery Classes: Jim and Sandy Gregory in Reedley are retired teachers and will be starting pottery classes in their home "studio" for adults and children. Jim has been in the Reedley High School Art Department for over 30 years and teaching night classes at Reedley College. They work with clay slabs and the potter’s wheel. He has a wide selection of samples done in various methods including Raku from Japan and Southwestern Native American style where he attended workshops in Taos, New Mexico. He does custom items for special orders from lamp bases to dinnerware and even mug orders for the local fun-run in Sanger. CMAC, the Community Media Access Collaborative that opened on the second floor of the old Met building is look-ing for artists. Linda Caine went to the opening, and was very impressed with the whole concept and the center. They also need artists to hang paintings for a month at a time in their studios. There is a LOT of hanging space, and many of the walls will be able to take large pieces of work. If you watch the changing photograph banner on the top of their website, you’ll see some of the hanging spaces – have a look at: http://cmacfresno.org/ . They have someone for July, and Linda Caine will be exhibiting in August, but they’re booking exhibitors for other months now. For more infor-mation, contact: Hope Melgoza, the woman who arranges the exhibits, so if you’re interested please give her a call at 266-2622. The Kingsburg Art Center is located in Downtown Kingsburg in the Village Center Mall (1332 Draper St, Kingsburg, CA 93631).
