Best of all, the jewels of the sea will be available here at the Lake Forest Park Villa Association’s fourth annual Lobster Celebration. The lobster is plucked from the cold, nourishing waters off of Maine and Massachusetts the day before Lobster Fest. We receive the lobsters alive and kicking on Saturday morning, Oct. 14. Each sweet and delicious lobster will weigh in from one and a half to two pounds or one pound of shrimp to tempt your taste buds. There will also be corn on the cob, picked fresh, waiting for you to savor row after row of the sweet decadence with its warm butter flavor. Finally, a bountiful array of salads, sides and desserts will send you home to enjoy a blissful night’s rest. We provide you with two drink tickets for wine, beer, soda, water or juice. There will be live entertainment to enhance your fun for an unforgettable evening topped off with music that will be the perfect dinner companion. Just for the fun of it, we will be giving away free lobsters! That’s right, free lobsters! All you have to do is sell/buy 10 lobsters, and for every 10 sold, you will become the proud owner of one more clawed crustacean! Overall, the real reason for all this effort and a great time is White City Elementary School. This year they will be the recipient of items the teachers need for the children. Times are difficult for schools with budget cutbacks again this year. The teachers have been funding classroom needs out of their own pockets. It is our hope Lobster Fest will give them a break and provide the children with much needed tools to aid their learning. Lake Forest Park Lobster Fest is an event sponsored by our residents. Our seniors do a great job with this event, giving hard work and love to make this event special. We will see you there! Employee of the Month This month, we chose to honor our move-in coordinator Jayme Castro as employee of the month. Jayme does excellent work here in our community, and she has been a faithful employee for quite some years now. She always brings a cheerful attitude to work, and she is always helpful in many ways. Congratulations, Jayme! Our Lake Forest Family Dear Family, Friends and Residents Welcome to the autumn season! Those morning and evening walks you love to take, they are about to get even more lovely as the weather will be slightly cooling off. As well, it’s now time to start thinking about getting out your fall decorations and putting them up. This year, don’t be shy in decorating the outside of your home, as we love all the decorations and we want our community to soak up all the joys of the season. As for one of our big parties this month, we are going to be bringing Italy to us. Viva Italia is going to be the theme. Save room for scrumptious Italian food, while being entertained and enjoying the decor. As always, I am here for you if you need me. I hope you have a wonderful month. Lobster FestCome one, come all to the world’s very best Lobster Fest ever held on the Treasure Coast! 14. There will be live entertainment to enhance your fun for an unforgettable evening topped off with music that will be the perfect dinner companion.
