But we looked like

Why did we fail• Obsession with free as a purpose. • Solving problems that nobody else had• Praising interoperability, as long as we didn’t have to apply it ourselves• No opportunity for others to make money. • Obsession with archenemies (M$)• Geek pride

ProlinuxWhat must be done
•Involvement in public debates regarding legislation and EU funding guides
•Develop a recognized Linux certification (curricula, trainers, certificates)
•Establish Opensource/Linux training facilities in major education institutions
•Prolinux should be a community of highly skilled IT professionals (not a user community) •IT experts that can provide an open and informed point of view on IT problems (for example the latest CNAS problems)
•Have an idea? Write me, [email protected]

The new and Improved IT guyWe’re trying to build•Has real problem solving skills.•Has a deep understanding of usability concepts.•Has wide industry know-how.•Can teach others •Can speak in public and spread ideas•He seeks solutions, not toys•Uses soap (the stuff you use to wash that was named after a protocol)

Linux made me the man I am
In the last 3 years I’ve employed more than 30 people, generated more than EUR 1.5Mil revenue in Linux related projects only. And I had a lot of fun. We’ve sold not one license (sorry RedHat)
