Applications are invited in prescribed forms for admis­sions to the first year Diploma classes of the Government Polytec;hnic, Panjim for the academic year 1963/64.

'rhePolytechnic will offer instructions in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Branches.

The following are the minimum qualifications for admis­sion:

A passin S. S. C. examination of the Poona S. S. C. Board with Mathematics or Algebra and Geometry and General 'Science or Physics and Chemistry as optionals. (Candidates should be eligible for admis­sion to the University Courses of Study) or

A pass in the Vth standard (Science Section) Exami­nation of the Lyceum, Panjim or

A pass in the IlIrd year Examination of the Indus­trial Course of the Escola Industrial and Commer­cial Of Panjim, or

Equivalent Examination.

Candidates should have complf-ted 14 years of age and shouLd not ordinarily ibe above 21 years as on 1st July 63, and should be physically fit.

Prescribed application forms cOln be had from the office of the Principal Government Polytechnic, Panjim, either in person or by post against self addressed stamped envelopes.

The last date for the receipt of applications in the office of the Principal Government Polytechnic, Panjim, is 20th June, 1963.

Applications shall be accompanied by a Registration fee of Re. 1/-. The Registration fee may be paid by affixing a Goa Government tRevenue Stamp to the application or sent by crossed postal order payable to the «Principal Government Polytechnic Panjim» at Panjim Post Office.

Any further information can be had in person or through post (against self addressed stamped envelopes) from the Principal, Government Polytechnic, Panjim.

A Escola Politecnica ministrara 0 ensino sobre os ramos de Engenharia Civil, Mecanica e Electrica.

As seguintes sao as ,minimas habilitag5es exigidas para a admissao:

1) Passagem dQ exame de S. S. C. do S. <So C. Board de Poona, com Matematica eU Algebra e Geometria e Ciencias Naturais ou Fisica e Quimica como dis­clipinas facultativas. (Os candidatos devem estar habilitados para a admissao aos cursos de ensino da Universidade), ou

2) Bassagerh do ,exame dg 5.° ano do Liceu de Pangim (grupo de Ciencias), ou

3) Bassagem do exame do 3.° ano do curso industrial da Escola Industrial e Comercial de Pangim, ou

4) Exame equivalente.
