" par tly worn, con­taining a. black leather dressing case, "rith razor, brush. soap dish, etc.; a red canvas writing case, con­taining papers, etc.; a pair of bla.ck leather lace-up boots, size 9. hand-sewn, with toe-cap.s; a pall' of patent leather daneing pumps, size 9; sundry white shirts and ha.ndkerchiefs marked ., G.G.T.," a whisky flask. and a tin box contailling letters, etc., the pro­per!? of G. Suspicion attaches to a man named Atkins, described as slight build, square shoulders, ginger hail', beard, and moustache. beard cut naval pattern, dressed in a light sac suit and brown hard­hitter, gentlemanly appearance, who Wets drinking with Gudge.~Al/3578, 27th May, 1897 .

Perfh.-Stolen, between 2'30 and 3'30 p.m., 31'd iust., from the owner's dwelling, Victoria. Park, during the absence of the inmates (entrance being effected by forcing the back door with a jemmy), about £3 10s. ill silver; a gold bracelet, about half an inch wide, set with 4 rubies, Olle of which is missing; a hrge gold brooch, set with an amethyst surrounded by several emeralds; a very old brooch j and one amethyst., un set, the property of H. VV. Bevilaqua. Suspicion attaches to two men, about medium h eight, dressed in (lark clothes, one of whom wore a black boxer hat, who were seen coming from the back of Mr. Bevilaqua's residence.--A1/3658. 3rd June. 1897.

Per/h.- During the night of the 2nd inst. an a.ttempt was made to eutel' the store of Messrs. Richard Holmes & Co., 1\Iurrav Street. The back gate was Lurst open, and au. unsuccessful attempt was made to enter the premIses at the rear. The offenders theu tried to force open the door in the lane by mea,us of a Itin. wide jemmy, but were unable to do so.
