Living Faith Reading Plan

Welcome to the Living Faith Reading Plan! Each day will focus on a passage of

Scripture from 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, James and 1-3 John. For the full

experience, we invite you to read the daily reading before reading the First 5

teaching for that day.

Day 1

Reading: 1 Timothy 1

Major Moment: Paul praises God for His grace and encourages Timothy to

oppose false teachers.

Day 2

Reading: 1 Timothy 2

Major Moment: Paul gives Timothy instructions for orderly worship.

Day 3

Reading: 1 Timothy 3

Major Moment: Paul states the requirements for church leaders.

Day 4

Reading: 1 Timothy 4

Major Moment: Timothy is encouraged to keep the faith against false

teachers despite his youth.

Day 5

Reading: 1 Timothy 5

Major Moment: The church is instructed in how to care for widows and

elders.

Day 6

Reading: 1 Timothy 6

Major Moment: Paul condemns love of money and give Timothy a final

charge.

Reading: 2 Timothy 1

Major Moment: Paul requests loyalty from Timothy and the churches.

Reading: 2 Timothy 2

Major Moment: Paul teaches the gospel of Jesus Christ and how to identify

false teaching.

Major Moment: Paul gives warning about the last days.

Major Moment: Paul charges Timothy to persevere in his teaching.

Reading: Titus 1

Major Moment: Paul states the requirements for elders and how to respond

to false teachers.

Reading: Titus 2

Major Moment: Paul gives instructions to older men, older women, younger

women, young men and slaves on how to live as we wait for Christ’s

return.

Day 13

Reading: Titus 3

Major Moment: Paul explains how we are not saved by our works, but

saved in order to do good works.

Day 14

Reading: James 1

Major Moment: Trials produce mature faith.

Day 15

Reading: James 2

Major Moment: Favoritism in the church is rebuked and true faith produces

deeds.

Day 16

Reading: James 3

Major Moment: The tongue corrupts our whole body.

Day 17

Reading: James 4

Major Moment: We must reject the world and submit to God.

Day 18

Reading: James 5

Major Moment: James gives warnings to rich landowners, encourages

patience in suffering and teaches prayer in all circumstances.

Day 19

Reading: 1 John 1

Major Moment: God is light and we are to walk in the light.

Day 20

Reading: 1 John 2

Major Moment: John explains that if we are believers in Christ our actions

should be loving toward all and he warns of the antichrist.

Day 21

Reading: 1 John 3

Major Moment: When you believe in Christ, your actions should look vastly

different from someone who does not.

Day 22

Reading: 1 John 4

Major Moment: John gives instructions in how to know if a spirit is true or

false.

Day 23

Reading: 1 John 5

Major Moment: John tells the believer what they can know in order to be

assured of their faith and salvation.

Day 24

Reading: 2 John 1

Major Moment: False teachers must be identified and not supported by the

body so that others may recognize their deceitfulness.

Day 25

Reading: 3 John 1

Major Moment: John concludes his letter stating that our faith is made

evident by our actions.
