We are all created in the image and
likeness of God and we are chosen by God
to fulfill the purpose of the “One who
accomplishes all things.” We are sent as
missionaries and prophets to preach the
good news by the witness of our lives. The
path will not always be straight, nor will
the message always be heard or welcome.
But the Lord promises that as we go forth
into the world, his grace is sufficient to do
the work of discipleship: to preach and to
heal those we encounter.
So they went off and preached repentance. - Mark 6:12
First Reading: Amos 7:12-15 God calls Amos to prophesy to Israel
Second Reading: Ephesians 1:3-14 All are chosen and loved by God
Gospel: Mark 6:7-13
The disciples are sent to heal and preach in his name

Only a few weeks remain in this year’s ShareLife campaign, which ends July 31. This presents us an opportunity both to express our thanks and to issue an important challenge. As the deadline approaches, we have not yet reached our goal. WE CAN DO IT, but only with your help! If you have not yet contributed to ShareLife, please consider making a sacrificial gift today. You can donate by using the envelopes in the lobby or online at sharelife.org. ShareLife is an extension of our faith that makes real impact in the lives of those who need our help the most. Together as a parish, let us joyfully live the Gospel through the support of ShareLife.
