Term 4 Week 5
High Expectations, Opportunities, Success
Message from the Principal
Term 4 is moving very quickly. We are almost half-
way through.
There are many events coming up. Information will
be in the Newsletters (above), on the school website
and in the notes that your children will be bring
home. Staff have planned activities to support
learning, as well as planning our end of year fun
activities.
A reminder that we are now enrolling for preschool
2020. If you have a child due to start Kindergarten
in 2021, the preschool is a great way to introduce
them to school life. Please come to the office and
enquire about enrolment.
Again in this Newsletter, we celebrate the many
achievements of our students as you can see by all
the photos.
Students having fun by playing games and making friends during our Afternoon Social Club for Kids.
Amazing 'one-line challenge' drawings from our talented Stage 2 and 3 students.
Celebrating Grandparents Day in 3-6 Sunshine.
Liverpool West Public School is committed to the health and safety of your child – this includes sun safety. Baseball caps and sun visors are not recommended for good sun protection as they leave parts of the face, neck and ears unprotected from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. Our faces are exposed to the damaging effects of UV radiation every day and ears, temples, lips and the nose are among the most common parts of the body for skin cancers to develop later in life. A SunSmart hat, such as a bucket, broad-brimmed or legionnaire style hat, reduces the risk of skin cancer developing later in life.

Latiquia was successful and received an award for Culture, Courage and Commitment which supports her rich connection to her culture and commitment to share this with others. She also received a very prestigious additional award which was the Uncle Wilbur Dixon Encouragement Award. This award is chosen for one student annually and focuses on some of the following areas: commitment to culture, kindness, helpfulness and generosity, and connection to community.

Students from K Indigo sharing their informative reports about pigs.
Children from Coota Gulla Preschool had a fantastic day at Calmsley Hill City Farm. We saw a sheering show, sheep being rounded up by a cattle dog and the children milked a cow. The children had a relaxing and engaging day and were able to pat many farm animals.
Do you want your child to have the best start and a
smooth transition into school life? If your answer is
YES then you need to enrol into the Little Leapers
Program for 2020. Little Leapers is a
Free Program for
children who are
turning 4 before the

will be attending
Kindergarten at

2021.
If you would like
your child to
attend Little
Leapers next year

school office and
put your child’s
