One of the most historical sites in Liverpool is Albert Dock that was opened in 1846, now is World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Nowadays its full of shops and bars

The Cavern Club is a nightclub located in Mattew Street, opened in 1957.
The club hosted The Beatles' first performance on 9
th february 1961. They played nearly 300 times
between 1961 and 1964.
Today is the same club, supporting new bands who play there everynight and you can visit the
cavern for free (before 8 pm)

Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields
Penny Lane is a famous street located in North-East Liverpool. It's been described in a Beatles song in 1967, and it became famous. All of the
places mentioned in the song are still there, including the barbershop, the bank, the shelter,
etc

Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields
Strawberry Field was a children's orphanage in Woolton, a suburb of Liverpool. It closed in early January 2005 and is now a church and prayer
centre.
The name of the orphanage became world famous in 1967 with the release of The Beatles
single "Strawberry Fields Forever"

The Beatles Story
The Beatles Story is the world's leading Beatles-themed visitor attraction and is based in Liverpool, birthplace of The Beatles.
The Beatles Story was established in 1988, opening in the newly developed Albert Dock in May 1990.
The Beatles Story explores the story of the Beatles chronologically, from the first meeting between John Lennon and Paul McCartney to the eventual break-up of the band and their lives after The Beatles.
The Beatles Story is told through the 'Living History' audio guides narrated by John Lennon's sister Julia. This is now available in ten languages, making the Beatles Story one of the leading UK attractions in foreign language provision.

Gastronomy
Scouse:
Scouse is a type of lamb or beef stew. The word comes from lobscouse a stew commonly eaten by sailors throughout Northern Europe, which became popular in seasports such as Liverpool.
Scouse is strongly associated with Liverpool, where it remains popular and is a staple of local pub and café menus, although recipes vary greatly and often include ingredients which are inconsistent with the thrifty roots of the dish. "Scouse" has become part of a genre of slang terms which refer to people by stereotypes of their dietary habits
