Q&ALong-Term Health Effects of COVID-19
Common Symptoms
Fatigue, Cough, Shortness of breath, HeadacheJoint pain
Impact to Lungs
Damage to the tiny air sacs (alveoli) in the lungs. The resulting scar tissue can lead to long-term breathing problems.
Impact to Heart
Imaging tests after recovery have shown lasting damage to the heart. This may increase the risk of heart failure or other heart complications.
Impact to Brain
COVID-19 can cause strokes, seizures and Guillain-Barre syndrome. It may also increase the risk of developing Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
Additional Effects
COVID-19 may also cause long-lasting blood clots and blood vessel problems, as well as problems with mood and fatigue

Capacity When Social Distancing & Reducing Touchpoints
Distancing: elevator lobby – coordinate entrance /egress. Consider elevators reset for up and down transport only; consider pinch points. Note: freight elevator could be used but creates a pinch point for bathroom access.Occupant volume: avoid high occupancy; support reduced traffic by staggering arrival/departures.Touchpoints: new gloves to be worn in elevatorsHygiene: employees to wear masks upon entering and while circulating on the floor. Pick up/disposal of PPE to be available upon entering the space.
Distancing: significant furniture reduction --6 seats can be used simultaneously while respecting distancing. Touchpoints: disinfectant wipes available for cleaning of surfaces.
Distancing: significant seat reduction: seats used as workplaces.Circulation: clockwise; respect seated individuals upon arrival.Touchpoints: disinfectant wipes available for cleaning of surfaces.
Occupant Volume: each bathroom to be considered single occupant and possibly unisex. *pinch point for occupants exiting the space.Hygiene: trash receptacles within reach of doors. Masks to be worn.
Distancing: workstation seats reduced for distancing and secondary circulation capacity; install vertical dividers at spine of workstations; eliminate guest seating. Convert large offices to accommodate two work seats that maintain required distance from each other. Doors to be propped open or removed.
Distancing: capacity reduction from 12 to 5 people. Circulation: clockwise flow into the conference room; occupants take the furthest seat first; consider queuing protocol prior to entering the room. Touchpoints: doors propped open or removed. Shared tech and writing materials only to be used with gloves.

WORKPLACE Defining the New-Normal through integrated People, Place & Technology
PRE-COVID19
I go to the office to be productive.
THE NEW NORMAL
I can be productive anywhere. I go to the office for cultural connection, access to
colleagues and a great experience.
I program and create great workplaces
aligned with the work.
The average life of a workplace strategy is 8 years.
Workspaces are more like theatres…space evolves for the project at
hand and is then repositioned in a different light for the next “project/show”.
I design through smart technology and predictive analytics orchestrating great
experiences and wellbeing where people can thrive.

SARS-CoV-2 Environmental TestingConclusions:
1. HVAC can contribute to the transmission of SARS-CoV-2
2. Higher efficiency filters capture some SARS-CoV-2 virion but should not be the sole solution to preventing transmission via HVAC
3. Authors cite previous studies demonstrating SARS-CoV-2 in droplets 0.25 – 4.0 microns with infectivity between 1 to 16 hours*This study is not yet peer reviewed and draws from previous studies showing
long-term aerosolization and migration of SARS-CoV-2 through the air.

Have we looked at bipolar ionization?
• Airborne particles charged ions cluster & are caught more easily by the filter.
• Bacteria & virus cells are destroyed.• Odorous aerosols oxidize on contact with
oxygen ions & are neutralized.• Oxygen ions cause a chemical reaction
with VOCs breaking down their molecular structure.

Visualize Scorecard ResultsSupply & return ductwork is hygienically cleaned with the PURE-Duct service incorporating negative air machines with HEPA filtration. Fiberglass duct board is also encapsulated to prevent degradation.
PURE-Decon building disinfection is conducted using EPA registered disinfectants to neutralize all bacteria, mold & viruses (including coronavirus) prior to the facilities being certified.
IAQ Guard is installed to monitor/alert the facility 24/7 for particles, temperature, RH, CO2 & VOC.
The HVAC units are hygienically cleaned with PURE-Steam™ using 350° F steam. Then restore them with anti-microbial paint as part of the HVAC New Life™ process.
Baseline environmental (including for COVID-19 or Coronavirus) and HVAC testing is done to verify building safety.
HEPA Air purifiers with EnviroSmart™ technology and/or PURE-Plasma bipolar ionization are installed in the building for the continuous cleaning of the air to remove allergens, microbes, odors & particles.
