Live Price is a new Search Tool that allows you to add Punchout items to a Cart, in Marketplace,

without punching out to the supplier. Currently available for Complete Book, GovConnection, VWR

International, Fisher Scientific, and Sigma Aldrich.

How is this different? See the Before and After examples below.

BEFORE: Using the “Shop” bar at the top of the homepage search for “wireless mouse”. The results for

GovConnection do not show the price. In order to see prices and add items to your Cart you must click

the “Order from Supplier” link and Punchout to GovConnection.

AFTER LIVE PRICE: Using the “Shop” bar at the top of the homepage search for “wireless mouse”. The

GovConnection results include the Price and provide an “Add to Cart” button. It is no longer necessary

to Punchout to the Supplier’s site to add items to your Cart. NOTE the 1 exception, see next page.

Live Price Items are available for some, but not all, products in a Punchout. You may still need to

Punchout to find some items. The result shown on the previous page, “Punch-out to Supplier for Item”

is an example of this. Currently, this is NOT a live link to the Punchout. To Punchout, navigate to the

Home Page and Click GovConnection> Punchout .

You CAN mix Live Price and Punchout items in the same Cart.

If a supplier does not offer Live Price you will continue to see the “Order from Supplier” link. Clicking

this link will take you to the Punchout. Example: GovConnection Live Price, OfficeMax no Live Price.

Limit your search to a specific supplier:

BEFORE: Select the Supplier catalog and click the logo to go to the Punchout.

AFTER LIVE PRICE: Select the Supplier and use “Live Price” Search or go directly to the Punchout.

Check Availability: Depending on the Supplier’s capability Live Price items may or may not include

available stock information. To check availability click Check Availability, if applicable.

Available stock may show as “true” or “false” as with GovConnection, or may be shown as quantity as

with Fisher Scientific.

Additional functionality: Compare Products

Previously, only hosted catalog items could be selected for side-by-side comparison. Live Price items

can now be included in side-by-side comparisons .

Compare Products: To view a side-by-side comparison of products. Click “compare” for each item you

wish to see. This will activate the Compare Selected button. .

The 3 items you selected now have a checkmark next to them.

To see a side by side comparison of the selected items, click the Compare Selected button.

Here is the side by side comparison of the 3 items. Select the Quantity and Add to Cart from here or

click the Back to Search Results button.

Back on the Results page click Remove to remove the items from the Comparison.
