From the Panel - Cream/Red (A):• Fussy cut (6) 10 ½” squares, each centered on a chicken.

From the Stripe - Red (B), cut:• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (12) 2” x 10 ½” strips.• (4) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (12) 2” x 13 ½” strips.

From the Large Floral - Red (C), cut:• (1) 5 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (6) 5 ½” squares. From the Stripe - Blue (D), cut:• (2) 1” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (12) 1” x 5 ½” strips.• (2) 1” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (12) 1” x 6 ½” strips.• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end, with diagonal seams, and cut (2) 2” x 48 ½” strips.• (2) 2” x 39 ½” WOF strips.• (6) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

From the Dot - Blue (E), cut:• (1) 2” x WOF strip.

From the Monotone Floral - Red (F), cut:• (1) 2” x WOF strip.

From the Tossed Cherries - Yellow (G), cut:• (1) 2” x WOF strip.

From the Med. Floral w/Dots - White/Multi (H), cut:• (1) 2” x WOF strip.

From the Monotone Floral - Blue (I), cut:• (1) 2” x WOF strip.

From the Med. Floral w/Dots - Red (J), cut:• (1) 2” x WOF strip.

From the Tossed Cherries - Green (K), cut:• (1) 2” WOF strip.• (2) 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (12) 3 ⅞” squares.

From the Dot - White/Multi (L), cut:• (1) 2” x WOF strip.

From the Patch - Red (M), cut:• (2) 5 ½” x 51 ½” strips from the length of fabric (LOF).• (2) 5 ½” x 49 ½” WOF strips from the remaining fabric, piece as needed.

From the Folio - Tan (N), cut:• (4) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (24) 2” x 6 ½” strips.• (2) 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (12) 3 ⅞” squares.

From the Tossed Hens - Cream/Red (Backing), cut:• (2) 57” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 57” x 69” back.

Sewing Instructions1. Sew (1) 2” x 10 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the (1) 10 ½” Fabric A square. Sew (1) 2” x 13 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A square. Trim the block to measure 12 ½” square to make (1) Block One (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (6) Block Ones total.

2. Place (1) 3 ⅞” Fabric N square on top of (1) 3 ⅞” Fabric K square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 2). Sew ¼” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2). Cut the two squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 3) to make (2) KN units (Fig. 4). Trim KN units to measure 3 ½” square. Repeat to make (24) 3 ½” KN units total.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)9. Sew (1) Block One to each side of (1) Block Two to make Row One. Repeat to make Row Three.

10. Sew (1) Block Two to each side of (1) Block One to make Row Two. Repeat to make Row Four.

11. Sew the (4) rows together, in numerical order, to make the quilt top.

12. Sew (1) 2” x 48 ½” Fabric D strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 2” x 39 ½” Fabric D strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top.

13. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 51 ½” Fabric M strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 49 ½” Fabric M strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top.

14. Layer and quilt as desired.

15. Sew the (6) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric D strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

16. Bind as desired.

3. Sew (1) 1” x 5 ½” Fabric D strip to each side of (1) 5 ½” Fabric C square. Sew (1) 1” x 6 ½” Fabric D strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric C square to make (1) C-block (Fig. 5). Repeat to make (6) C-blocks total.

4. Sew (1) 2” x WOF Fabric E strip, (1) 2” x WOF Fabric F, (1) 2” x WOF Fabric G and (1) 2” x WOF Fabric H strip together lengthwise and in that order to make (1) EH strip set (Fig. 6). Sub-cut the EH strip set into (12) 2” x 6 ½” EH strips (Fig. 7).

5. Sew (1) 2” x 6 ½” Fabric N strip and (1) 2” x 6 ½” EH strip together lengthwise to make (1) EHN unit (Fig. 8). Repeat to make (12) EHN units total.

6. Sew (1) 2” x WOF Fabric I strip, (1) 2” x WOF Fabric J, (1) 2” x WOF Fabric K and (1) 2” x WOF Fabric L strip together lengthwise and in that order to make (1) IL strip set (Fig. 9). Sub-cut the IL strip set into (12) 2” x 6 ½” IL strips (Fig. 10).

7. Sew (1) 2” x 6 ½” Fabric N strip and (1) 2” x 6 ½” IL strip together lengthwise to make (1) ILN unit (Fig. 11). Repeat to make (12) ILN units total.

8. Sew (1) ILN unit to each side of (1) C-block. Sew (1) KN unit to each end of (1) EHN unit. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the C-block to make (1) Block Two (Fig. 12). Repeat to make (6) Block Twos total.
