“Maryland-based guitarist Tom Lagana isn't nearly as well-known as he should be, not even in jazz circles, but that won't be the case for long if he continues to record albums as enjoyable and multifaceted as Schematic." - Mike Joyce, Washington Post

“Schematic is the album to make guitar aficionados and the jazz world in general sit up and take notice of a talent deserving of wider recognition.”

-Bill Milkowski, jazz author and critic

"Favoring a clean, dry guitar tone, Lagana’s fluid and imaginative approach puts ideas before pyrotechnics."

-Tom Greenland, All About Jazz - NYC

“While one hears strong influences of Pat Metheny, Bill Frisell, and John Scofield in the guitarist masterful playing, Lagana creatively incorporates their styles into his own unique voice.” -James Scott, Minor 7th Magazine

“Lagana further proves his meddle thru creative arrangements of jazz classics."

-Bill Meredith, Jazz Times
