Some 1500 students are enrolled at any one time. As the leading educational program of its type UTI trains many people to work in local car dealerships or receive additional training if they are already working. We are proud to have them here and wish President, Julie Mueller much success as they settle into their new home. The fol- lowing Wed. March 12th is the Rotary Club of Lisle Luck of the Irish Raffle. The following Wednesday March 26th, Avant at the Arboretum Luxury Apartments is holding a Business After Hours. We were there for their ribbon cutting and the hospitality was overwhelming. You will want to check out this up- scale new center for living. On Sunday March 9th, the Lisle Chamber Spring Sprint takes place at Lisle Community Park at 9am. This very popular event is celebrating its 15th year of existence. It is the longest running road race in Lisle and provides an attractive designer souvenir tec shirt to the participants as well as items from our sponsors and food at the finish. Who knows you might win a medal and gift card for Dick Pond Athletics. We give a special thank you to Lisle Savings Bank and Jim Renn which has been a Presenting Sponsor from the beginning and DuPage Medical and Molex which are perenni- al supporters. Athletico is present along with Alliance Health and Wellness for stretching and massages. So come participate and enjoy the camaraderie of the running community. The Sheraton Lisle is the location of our annual 20 chamber Multi-Chamber luncheon on March 20th. This is also the first day of spring so the gathering of over 600 people will be especially sig- nificant. A mini expo with over 40 vendors will provide great exposure for vendors and participants alike. We are very excited to present our featured speaker Jeanne Malnati of the Malnati Pizza fam- ily for a thought provoking address. Finally on March 26th we will offer a seminar on Board of Director Development Part II at 7:30am at Wheatstack. Part I received huge praise by the participants. You can still come to the second session even if you didn't attend the first one in January. So check your calendars and come out to one or all of these events. You will not be disappointed. Theres still snow on the ground, and the relentless polar

vortex needs to take a break already! Ive seen a couple of

robins, though, and the cardinals colors are more vibrant than

ever! These are signs of spring, right? Well, regardless of the

weather, your local Chamber of Commerce hasnt been

hibernating at all! Take a look at our February calendar and

you will see it was jam-packed with networking and business

growth activities. Our annual gala dinner dance was an

exceptional Luau in Lisle, and by far the hottest ticket in town! This

committee is already planning for next years bash and its going to blow

everyone away! Mark your calendars now for next year February 13, 2015. I

promise, you dont want to let anything stop you from attending this one!

The second half of our Chamber Board Development Workshop is also going to be

held later this month. The first half was very worthwhile, and our board members

are already working on profiles, skills and responsibilities. We are also

incorporating some strategic planning into every monthly meeting. Lisle Area

Chamber of Commerce has an incredibly talented and diverse Board of Directors,

and I am honored to be working alongside each one of them. The information we

glean from this Board Development workshop will only help to increase our

effectiveness and synergy as a team. 2014 is going to be a year for some good

    momentum and direction.

Soon, we will have not one, but two marketing plans to implement, thanks to the

Benedictine Universitys MBA class. This is a fabulous opportunity for the

Chamber! I took advantage of this offer for my business last Fall and was blown

away at the materials and marketing ideas this class of professionals put

together. Looking forward to what they create for Lisle Area Chamber of

Commerce. We will attend their presentation this Wednesday, March 5th. Be

watching for some very creative and effective improvements in this organization!

Lots of great things are happening in this Chamber! If you know of a business that

will benefit from all the opportunities this Chamber provides for networking,

business growth and valuable business contacts, dont wait any longer to invite

    them!

    CHAMBERVISION

Thursday, February 20 was an all day event that kicked off

with Lislepalooza and concluded with Business After Hours.

The Lislepalooza portion of the day was a career showcase in-

tended to promote career and business opportunities for stu-

dents, alumni, community members and local businesses. In

addition to the career fair, participants had the opportunity to

    attend different presentations.

Following the morning activities was a luncheon for Chamber

Members. Dr. William Carroll, President, Dr.Sandra Gill,

Dean and Mayor Joseph Broda spoke about Benedictine, how far it has come over the years, and

what the future holds. Much attention was focused on plans for a new College of Business build-

ing, which will be located in the middle of the campus.

The day came to a close with Business After Hours hosted by Benedictines College of Business.

Business After HoursHealth Source of Lisle

Despite the cold weather many chamber members attended the

February Business After Hours at Health Source of Lisle at

1025 Ogden Avenue. Dr. Raymond Ruginis who has been in

practice over 20 years opened his chiropractic office to tours

for attendees. Chiropractic care is all about the whole body

wellness. Not only back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica

and other health concerns, but prevention, wellness and

nutrition are all are part of this chiropractic practice.

As President/Owner of WFH Enterprises, Inc., Liz oversees day to day operations by

working with clients from start to finish. She is proud to be part of a family owned and

operated business that has provided quality, name brand Commercial and Residential

flooring products for over 25 years. She has been in this field for 19 years and feels

that the key to WFHs success is their continued pursuit of education and certification.

Liz resides in Downers Grove with her husband of 25 years, Jim. They have two daughters, Nicole

    (21) and Bridget (18) who both attend college in Indiana, and they also have a dog named Chessie.

Liz is an avid tennis player and plays on two competitive USTA teams. In her free time she enjoys

music, concerts, sports and theater. She also enjoys visiting relatives in Colorado where they hike

waterfalls, go whitewater rafting, skiing, and zip lining. She enjoys philanthropic work and currently

serves on two not-for-profit organizations, Chicago Floorcovering Association and the District 58

Education Foundation. She is a classic rock girl, and she loves the Blackhawks!

A Lisle Area Chamber Member since 2009, Liz became an Ambassador in September 2013. She

serves as the Chair for the Lisle Executive Networking Group (LENG) and is a member of the Golf

Committee. She enjoys her time as a Chamber Ambassador because of the business and personal re-

lationships that she has established. Being an Ambassador has given her the opportunity to spend

more time with her peers and get to know them personally and professionally. She feels the best way

to promote a business is to know the business and the people who run it. She feels more confident

referring Chamber members who are involved and looking to grow their business, give back to their

    community, and promote the Chamber.

Liz shares a favorite quote from George Strait, Lifes not about the breaths you take, but the mo-

ments that take your breath away.
