Our Thoughts and Prayers are with…Being able to communicate with God on behalf of

ourselves and someone else is a great gift God gives us.

We ask that you join us in the this gift. You can phone in a

name and request, write it down on a prayer request form,

or e-mail a request to

prayers are answered that you submit their name

again for a thank you to God for answered prayer.

THE HUKILAU NEEDS YOU!

The planning is underway for an incredible

Worship service in honor of the 500th

Anniversary of the Reformation. We will gather

on Saturday, October 14 at St. Andrews

Cathedral in Honolulu. Worship begins at 3 pm

and we have an amazing preacher coming from

the Mainland; there will be a joint choir; and we

have invited church leaders from throughout

Hawaii to join us on that day. We are asking

Hukilau members to step forward and help.

WE NEED:

1. Worship Greeters and Ushers.

Please be at the Cathedral by 2pm.

2. Bakers: Following the worship service, we

would like to provide homemade or

store-bought backed goods. Please bring a

dozen of your finest offering to the Cathedral

by 2 pm.

3. Fellowship Hosts: We are looking for folks

to help set up the food or stay after the

fellowship time to clean up.

Want to help? Email Pastor Ruth Peterson at

[email protected] or call 808-236-7814.

Join the Global Missions team as they bid

farewell to Calvary friend, Karen Knodt.

Saturday, October 14 at 5:30pm

1350 Ala Moana Blvd– 3rd floor ballroom

Chaplain Bonnie Holcombe

will conduct the memorial service.

Parking is permitted at Ala Moana Shopping

Center– at the corner of Ala Monana Blvd. and

Piikoi St. Guests are asked to bring a pupu

dish to share. Soft drinks will be provided.
