Castor, Veteran, Consort, and KAC. We have talked with LCI and we do not have to redistrict as these clubs will be moving in single club moves. We have to get together some documentation and we are working towards this happening this year. This is also the time of the year when we elect the new executive for the clubs. There have been 42 clubs that recorded their executive for next year and thanks to all the clubs for doing this early. I would like to remind the clubs that have not entered their executive for 2018-2019 to do so as soon as possible and before June 30th because on July 1st your current executive will no longer have access to MyLCI. If your executive is not changing please still complete the PU-101 as the information for incoming DGE Frances is completely new and there is a lot of setup that she needs to complete once she gets access as District Governor. It is also getting to the end of the Judge Brian Stevenson Contest that we piloted this year. The purpose of this contest is to increase District Clubs’ efficiency by promoting recruitment, keeping members, monthly membership and activity reports and inter-club visits. We are in the process of tabulating the points for C-1 and results will be announced at the MD Convention as to the top clubs in both districts. The Lions Centennial will be ending at the end of June this year. At a district level we have done well, and I am sure that we did a lot better but were unable to get this information as some clubs were not reporting their activities to LCI. So far it has been reported that we have served 72,546 people this year. That is far below the 105,352 people we served last year. I will provide a summary of what we have done in the past 4 years of this Lions International Project in the June Roar. Please remember to complete your PU-101 as soon as possible.

Incoming Club ExecutivesYour 2018 - 2019 Club executive and Board should be re-ported to LCI whether or not you have made changes. At the end of June, LCI deletes all current position holders in the Club and the names of position holders must be re-en-tered on MyLCI or forwarded to LCI on the infamous PU-101s, available at: https://www.lionsclubs.org/resources/EN/pdfs/pu101.pdf This may be done by the current Presi-dent or Secretary until the end of June.We cannot communicate effectively with Clubs, and Clubs cannot communicate effectively with each other if you do not send in the necessary information. The District Directory relies on MyLCI databases for accuracy and completeness.

Sri Lanka Foster Child ProgramEarlier this year, clubs and members were asked to support the C-1/306-A Foster Child Program, an activity which has existed since the original District Twinning was established in 1993. The response was very satisfactory, with more than $3000 raised to support the educational needs of children in Sri Lanka. Our Lions year-end is approaching, and the children still need our assistance. I ask that clubs who may have uncommitted funds to consider a contribution to the program. Please forward your donation to Cabinet Treasurer Lion Stacey Chan at: 15118-130 Street, Edmonton, T6V 1H2. Please make your cheque payable to District C-1 and mark the tag line “Foster Child Program”. Thanks.
