No, I can't read that either. Suffice it to say, there's a lot of awesome information in there. A computer might be able to process it all, but I can't.

● The WWW is all about human curation and human content generation.

● That legacy data was generated by a person. That person knew something about Russia during the reign of Nicholas II (well, maybe). Wouldn't it be nice if the cataloger could communicate that?

Couldn't a computer do some of this?

Of course! A lot of this information is on Wikipedia!

With Linked Data, a computer could extract it from Wikipedia.

One day.

Probably.

We just have to fit the world's complexity into a formal ontology.
