HOMEPAGE:HEADER IMAGEThis is an opportunity to stand out. We have adapted one of our ‘More time for design’ campaign adverts which stands out with bright colours, simple text and a bit of humour (ha ha).

• Banner image size – 646x220 pixels

TIP: It’s worth getting some professional design help here – a well-executed, simple graphic can make a crucial first impression and really help your brand’s personality cut through.

HOMEPAGE:COMPANY DESCRIPTIONThe company description sits under your content updates at the foot of the company homepage. If you don’t have any updates, all you will see is the description.

TIP: You have 2000 characters (including spaces) to describe your company. This is an opportunity to add keywords which are searchable on LinkedIn, but don’t let your description get out of control – keep it concise.

HOMEPAGE:SPECIALTIESIn the page set up there are fields to add specialities of your company – these are listed under your company description.

TIP: You are only given 256 characters in total for your specialities (with no character counter) – choose carefully and be concise. If you go over, you won’t know until you try to publish the page.

appear on your page.

Where you can edit your specialties.

HOMEPAGE:OTHER ELEMENTSOn the right hand side of our homepage you’ll see ‘Products and Services’ and ‘Featured Groups’ – these will only be there if you enable them.

The featured group has to be a group one of the page administrators is a member of. This is only relevant if there is a specific LinkedIn group you’re engaged in and adds value to your company page.

PRODUCTS & SERVICES:DESCRIPTIONThis is the opportunity for an overview of the products and services you offer.

TIP: If you keep your description to less than 270 characters (including spaces) it will all fit in the space available above your features. You don’t need to list everything out here as there is plenty of space for products and services descriptions below.

Once features are added you can change the order they are listen in. The first in the list will be featured on the homepage.

If you have a YouTube video for your product you can also put a link on the product page – this will show your video on the right side of your products and services page.

SO,WHAT NEXT?Now you have optimised your LinkedIn company page, it’s all about engagement. This means content.

LinkedIn is a great place to share content – blog articles, interesting industry content – and get your team to like it. This way your content will then filter out through your professional network.

If you really want to get more reach, consider a sponsored post (we’ll cover that in another feature).

Keep up the engagement and watch the results!
