• Additional Software Setup • Loading Survey Reference Files (DWG DXF) • Creating a Line file to Best Survey the Area in Question
• Line File Creation Continued
2/6/17
2
• Enter the Average Speed of Sound in to the Sounder Suite Software • Enter a Draft in to the Sounder Suite Software (measurement from the face of
the transducer to the water line) • Make Sure the Transducers are Turned on in the Sounder Suite Software and
Enter Hypack Survey in Hypack
• Begin Data Collection!
• Create Your Project • Assign Proper Geodesy • Measure Vessel Offsets to Reference Point. Insert Offsets
Properly in to the Software • Load Files Related to the Survey • Create a Line file which runs Perpendicular to the Area. Line
Spacing Dependent on Level Accuracy Needed and Distance of Survey
• QA Procedure • Open Hypack Survey and Begin Data Collection

3
• Measure Vessel Offsets • Apply Offsets Correctly in the Software
• Survey Devices • Survey Connect

4
• GPS Configurator
• Load All Survey Related Files • Create Line File for Survey Area • QA Procedure
• Check in to Known Monument with GPS 1 Receiver and Antenna • Shoot in Water Surface Elevation (WSE) with RTK Rover • Calculate Final Elevation • Conduct a Barcheck at the Beginning and End of Survey • Measure GPS 1 Vertical • Once Survey is Complete Conduct Manual Polings
• Shoot Water Surface Elevation (will be used to calculate final elevation)
2/6/17
5
• Measure / Verify GPS 1 Vertical Offset
• Turn on Vessel and Computer • Make sure all Necessary Programs are Running Properly and Fixed RTK is Coming in
to Hypack
• Conduct a Speed of Sound Cast and Enter the Average Value in to the Sounder Suite Software
• Calculate Hypack Final Elevation • Water Surface Elevation • Manual Depth Measurement at the Transducer • WSE – Manual = Final Elevation
• Calculated Final Elevation Should be Very Close to Hypack Final Elevation

6
• Conduct a Barcheck. A Series of Manual Depth Measurements with a Special Disc at Differing Depth Intervals (5’ – 10’ – 15’) Referenced to the Waters Surface (the operator inside the vessel must enter a draft in the sounder suite software to correctly compare depths
• Head to the Survey Area!
• Collect Cross Lines Before and After Actual Data Collection • Check Survey Over to Make Sure all Necessary Data has
been Collected • Conduct Polings within the Survey Area Upon Completion (3
Per Area or one per hour) • Shoot the Water Surface Elevation Upon Survey Completion • Tie in to a Known Monument Upon Survey Completion
