What are our goals in this area?
Our VisionLINCCWeb v. 2.0 is for students who want answers to their information needs. LINCCWeb is a set of discovery tools that provide quick, easy, relevant information when, where and how the student needs it. Unlike traditional library tools, LINCCWeb provides relevant, targeted information via a meaningful self-guided user experience.
Goals1. Enhance and expand the user experience
by employing user centered design and introducing state of the art features and functionality that promote user self sufficiency
2. Make LINCCWeb information available at the point of user need, integrated into college instructional and information systems and discoverable within search tools commonly used by students
How did we decide what direction to take, and
what other products or approaches did we
consider?

and XML-based development (Endeca)• Cooperative opportunities with Florida
Center for Library Automation (FCLA) (Endeca)
• Established product (Endeca) vs. opportunity to impact development as Charter Customer (Primo)
