We have 40 participants going on our mission

trip in July, and we still have a few in need of

being sponsored. If you'd consider helping

support a student desiring to go on our mission

trip, please see Drew so we can make it

    happen!

For anyone ages 13 and over, we will

be going rafting August 3rd-5th on

the New River in West Virginia. A

cool way to beat the summer heat,

come go with us! Total cost is $160,

deposits are due by July 8th if you

    plan to go.

Our student ministry is on a mission to collect school supplies for the students of Richmond County.

They will also be holding a basketball tournament to raise funds (Date/Time TBA). If you are

interested in making a donation to Impact Backpack or would like to participate in the tournament,

please see Brett Bowers or Justus Ellerbe. Donations are due by July 31st.

    Mini Devotional “Serve”

“For even the Son of Man came not to be

served but to serve others and to give his

life as a ransom for many.” (NLT)

    -Mark 10:45

Service can have a negative connotation in

our world. Often times those who work in the

“service industry” are often treated with less

dignity than those who work in other fields.

We often lament how we wish our spouse,

kids, friends or co-workers would serve us

better. Yet look at the heart of God, He came

to the earth to serve! Maybe we need to

change the way we view service in our life.

See service as an opportunity to be Christ to

the world, as something to embrace. Not

something to look down on or avoid.
