Avenir is a typeface combined with Erbar and Futura by Adrian Frutiger. A combination of two typeface influenced by Bauhaus and mechanical functionality, Frutiger perfected Avenir as an elegant typeface with function.

Letterhead, Scaled down to 50% of original size

Different ways for the lines to live in mediumsConnecting the indicator in many ways, designer decides how the line lives in a space.

Lines can come from outside of the medium,for example, demonstrated by the Business Label.

Same idea as the letterhead consists in the Business Cards(Scaled down 50% of original size).

All lines must set in less than 0.25 points to compensate the typography.

Design

For books and other binded medium, the book must keep the following sequence:

The shaded area is bleed out of canvas vertically, leave a 17 points margine on the sides.

Binded medium should require the double-sided printing, demonstrated by the letterhead.

Conclusion:

All the lines is a small guidance into the information of the these designs. It is up to the designer to use these lines for their advantages. These lines are serving you, the designer, as a directional guideline to information you wish to point out. Pairing this device with the indicator(the dot), they will guide the reader to many different information in a direction.
