WINTER AWAKENSTHE HOMELAND
A man born by the sea, yet exploring a introspective life in the mountains. He journeys to the ocean each winter to relive the nostalgia of his roots, paddling out when the North Pacific awakens. A collection of clothing centered on a pilgrimage from mountain to sea and the life exposed to these elements.
, Navy and Deep Blues dominate this delivery balanced with heather grey and beige. Colors inspired by the cold stormy north pacific ocean, spanning it’s energy through the hemisphere. Group 2 Tundra, Dk Pine Greens and Vintage Blacks dominate this delivery with pale blue, and red accents. Grassy tundra landscapes drenched in the ocean fog and frosted Conifer foothills drive the colors. Lastly, Group 3 Mountain strong Khakis and Deep Blacks mark the winter delivery with yellow and forest green accents. Snow covered rocky peaks enduring the harsh elements paint this group.
Lightning Bolt was a mark of innovation and forward thinking during it’s conception and early years. Fall 2015 marks a turning point where the brand begins to focus on advancement in function, fabrication and technical materials while staying true to it’s ethos. This new path is supported with ergonomic lines, over built seams, water proof materials, welded zippers blended with post modern type set graphics, abstract geometric prints, bolder colors, and refined utilitarian silhouettes / details. Knit and Woven tops slightly move towards a more oversized outline while pants and bottoms are pulled in with a tapered fit and long rise. Fall 2015 has been merchandised to be heavily layered with cascading hemlines which can be worn from the Icy Sierras to the Foggy Winter California Coastline. As layers are shed, the look maintains interesting and relevant with brushed plaids, felted wool over shirts, color blocked and jacquard knitwear, refined iconic graphics, and utilitarian detailing.
