Care To See Visible Results In Just A Few Sessions? Then Pilates Is for You! Whether you are brand new to Pilates or have been practicing for a while, Jeannie Stevens, our current Tuesday afternoon Floor Yoga instructor, has the unique ability to teach to beginners and advanced students in Pilates as well. Whether you are looking for an active vigorous class or a gen-tle passive class, Jeannie can tailor the format to meet your needs. She believes it is important to offer up both because some days we feel the need to move our bodies and perspire and other days. we may want very passive postures. This program promises a lot of deep static stretching that target specific body parts. Sometimes both! It ‘s up to you, the student. If you are not sure because you are new to Pilates, just come and experience what Jeannie has to offer. Just about everyone can practice Pilates. You just need to breathe! Join Jeannie on Tues March 5 at 1:00PM for Pilates in the Far Lounge.

Today, over 45,000 visitors a year enjoy tours, lectures, family festivals, poetry and curriculum–based school activities. The collection also includes 250 prints and photographs, 290 ceramics, 400 pieces of furniture, a 3,300-volume library and 16,000-plus archival documents. The 152-acre property features an Arts and Crafts carriage barn and theater, stone garages, woodland trails, a pond and dairy complex, and a Sunken Garden designed by Beatrix Farrand c. 1920.Hill-Stead has been a hub of activity since the Pope family first occupied their newly built country estate in Farmington, Connecticut. Here, from 1901 to 1946, in succession, Alfred and Ada Pope and their daughter Theodate, with her career-diplomat husband John Wallace Riddle, entertained many illustrious individuals—authors, artists, poets, academics and presidents. The Popes and Riddles also extended their hospitality to town folk and employed dozens of workers, among them Earnest Bohlen, butler to the family for nearly 60 years. Today, Hill-Stead is a 152-acre, 10-building museum and a National Historic Landmark. Hill-Stead is a National Historic Landmark and an Official Project of Save America’s Treasures. In 2003, the American Association of Museums awarded Hill-Stead accreditation. Hill-Stead is a member of the Connecticut Art Trail, & the Connecticut Women’s Heritage Assoc.
