How can we serve your agenda?A partnership designed around you

A lighting company of leading businesses creating value with meaningful innovationsthat improve people's health and well-being

Page 6: Lighting as it should be. For everyone

The lighting industry is undergoing a

from analogue to digital

from conventional to LED

radical / remarkable transformation.

Page 8: Lighting as it should be. For everyone

Major key factors towards - Green……

1. Energy efficiency (cost saving). Minimize the wattage and reduce the lighting power intensities.

Maximize natural light harvesting and utilization.

Implement the energy management control system for more saving.

Enhance the use of energy efficient luminaire and light source.

2. Protect environment. Life span the longer the better as

to reduce the disposal.

3. Reduce green house gas emission. Reduce of mercury vapor contents. LED are preferable.

Lighting Level is determined by the age of users

A person 60 years

old will need about

15 times higher

lighting level than a

10 year old.

Hospital & Healthcare Building General Illuminance Standards – CIBSE LG2, EN2464-1

COI≤ 3.3

Page 38: Lighting as it should be. For everyone

a. Application scope:

1) Lighting recommendations for a variety of tasks carried out within hospitals and medical

premises, particularly tasks associated with clinical observation, treatment and care.

2) A room within which surgical, obstetrical and endoscopic procedures are preferred.

b. COI: an open-ended numerical scale ranking the suitability of a lamp for the purpose of visual

detection of the presence or onset of cyanosis.

In general, an index used to measure the comfort/suitability of a light source

c. The lower the value of the index, the better the lamp is deems to be for that purpose

d. Recommend values:

1. The CCT of lamps should between 3300K and 5300K. (Preferable 4000K)

2. CRI > 90

3. A recommended cyanosis observation index(COI) should not greater than 3.3.

The principle is based on the magnitude of the calculated change in the color appearance of fully

oxygenated blood(100% oxygen saturation) and of oxygen-reduced blood(50% oxygen saturation), resulting

from the application of the lamp under evaluation when compared with a reference illuminant.

For detailed calculation method, please refer to the Interior lighting of Australian/New Zealand Standard, Part 2.5: Hospital and medical tasks.
