The LiteTouch™ Global Training Academy (by Light Instruments Ltd.) offers a basic course for laser beginners and continuing education for laser users, as well as advanced programs for experts. These courses include instructor-led classroom lectures combined with hands-on practical sessions.

The academy offers training programs led by key opinion leaders, which are especially suitable for practitioners seeking to expand their clinical knowledge. Basic Course

The Basic course is designed for general dentists, and specialists: laser beginners, new laser owners or any dentist interested in this new field. The course provides all the theoretical and clinical knowledge necessary to start using Er:YAG lasers in the dental daily work.

Course Outcome:Following the Basic course, participants will be able to use the Er:YAG laser in general dentistry, and perform conservative treatments, endodontic treatments, periodontal treatments & basic surgical procedures.

Modality of the course: Theoretical lessons and Hands-On sessions.

Duration: 2 days course.

Participants: General Dentists and Specialists, Dental hygienists.

Program:

Hands-On with LiteTouch™ Er:YAG Laser on extract teeth and animal models.


Introduction to Laser Physics: Properties and characteristics of laser light, laser devise components, laser parameters.

The Interaction of Er:YAG Laser with Oral soft and hard tissues: Tissues Optical properties, laser interaction with: enamel, dentin, bone and gingiva, different energy delivery systems.

Laser Safety.

Properties of other wavelengths: Nd:YAG, Diode, CO2.

Continued Education

The Continued Education course is designed for Er:YAG laser users who already have some experience in the laser field and wish to deepen their knowledge and skills in different dental specialties.The 3 days' course cover 7 different specialties, as follows: Pediatric Dentistry, Aesthetic Dentistry, Endodontics, Periodontics, Implantology, Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Pathology.

Course Outcome:Following the Continued Education course, participants will educated on the different laser treatment modalities and protocols used in modern dentistry and will be able to apply the LiteTouch™ Er:YAG laser in all the different specialties covered in this course.

Modality of the course: Clinical and theoretical lessons followed by clinical step-by-step video presentation and discussions.

Advanced Program

The Advanced Program is designed for specialists and experts in one of the various dental specialties offered. The different advanced programs have been tailor-made by laser experts in the relevant fields. The courses cover theories, clinical applications and protocols related to the use of LiteTouch™ in the related specialty. The courses include live demonstrations, as well as an analysis and discussion of the participants’ clinical cases.

Course Outcome:Following the Advanced Program, specialists will be more skilled in their laser expertise after being coached by laser experts from the different fields. Attendees will have an opportunity to exchange opinions and experiences with colleagues from worldwide locations, while discussing their own clinical cases. There are 6 different specialty courses offered in the Advanced Program as described below.
