LiftRight Keg Handling Equipment

Workplace safety is essential for the success of a business, regardless of its size. Business owners and managers are responsible for the health and safety of their workforce and State and Federal Workplace safety requirements have placed a priority on safe work practices in industry and business. The penalties for not complying with occupational health and safety legislation can include heavy fines and prosecution.

One in three injuries to Australian workers is caused by manual handling, with inexperienced workers at greatest risk. Manual handling injuries can be caused by lifting or carrying heavy loads, or by handling items in a variety of other ways including pushing, pulling, holding or restraining.

While good posture and lifting techniques definitely help reduce the risks, research shows that implementing proper and suitable lifting equipment is the most effective way to prevent manual handling injury.

Research by WorkSafe Victoria (www.worksafe.vic.gov.au) indicates that the most common injuries related to manual lifting, as shown by injury claims, are:

• Back (48%) – muscle strain and disc injury from lifting objects such as boxes, cartons, crates, bags, drums, powered tools, equipment and other materials

• Shoulder (17%) – traumatic joint/muscle injury and strain from lifting objects and repetitively handling objects or other materials

• Abdomen (16%) – hernias from heavy and/or awkward lifting.

LiftRight Keg Handling System

The LiftRight Keg Handling System provides an excellent solution for the safe and easy lifting and moving of keg equipment. It includes a purpose built keg trolley, keg lifter, pallet ramp and stack safe crosses that are specifically designed to lift, move and store kegs safely and easily. The LiftRight Backsaver Trolley is also available to help lift and move cartons of alcohol. The LiftRight Keg Trolley is designed to move beer kegs easily and safely. It allows users to easily lift and manage 50 litre kegs – that weigh well over 60kg – greatly reducing the risk of personal injury or damage to floor surfaces. The LiftRtight Keg Trolley can also come with an attachable frame to easily move and store gas bottles. Kegs can be safely unloaded from pallets, without touching the kegs, when the Keg Trolley is used in conjunction with the LiftRight Pallet Ramp. The LiftRight Keg Lifter was developed to allow beer kegs to be stacked on top of each other easily and safely. It’s simple, ergonomic design is manually operated or can be powered by a rechargeable cordless drill.

Use the Stacksafe Base Supports to double stack kegs, allowing you to fit twice as many kegs into the cool room, to keep the beer cold and fresh and your customers happy! Benefits and features:

• kegs can be secured and lifted from any position – the keg does not have to be manually handled

• the keg is locked onto the trolley so it cannot fall, reducing risk of damage and injury

• fully adjustable to suit all beer kegs used in Australia

• kegs can be moved easily over rough, uneven ground or up and down stairs

• kegs can be double stacked securely & safely so cold storage areas are used more efficiently

• easy to operate and user friendly.

The LiftRight Keg Handling System can be purchased as a complete system or as individual components. LiftRight Backsaver Trolley

The LiftRight Backsaver Trolley was developed to reduce the risk of back injury when moving packaged goods. Whether you are loading beverages into a display refrigerator, stacking cartons onto storage shelves or helping load cartons of beer into a customer’s car, you no longer have to bend over to pick up the last item. Features

• adjustable weight capacity so the trolley can be set up to suit the items being moved

• strong, lightweight aluminium construction

• the trolley platform is automatically lowered as weight is added and automatically raised as weight is removed so the trolley does the heavy lifting
