PT Lever HoistsArbil recommend the use of Yale PT ‘Pressed Steel’ link chain Lever Hoists, the hoists extremely low weight means they are an ideal choice for working at height. Arguably, the most universal ratchet lever hoist in the Yale range.

With low operating effort, the standard free chaining device serves to quickly attach the load or to pull the chain through the hoist in both directions. A low closed height makes the Yale PT perfect for applications with difficult or limited access such as overhead line work. Suitable for almost all standard applications.

The Yale Pul-Lift is the first choice for users in a variety of industries due to its almost unlimited applications, particularly overhead line.

Its roller chain functionality allows the operator to work with more precision and accuracy due to its rigid and less flexible nature.

Hoisting Equipment User information

The lightweight Tiger Subsea SS11 link chain Lever Hoist incorporates the ultimate safeguarding against a single point failure by installing a new specially designed adjustable chain end stop, profiled to fit the contours of the hoist body. This offers complete assurance to the operator, whilst maintaining the flexibility of ‘freewheeling’ the chain to any required starting position.

In addition, the unique brake system designed for the SS11 guarantees a light load protection at 2% of the rated capacity.

Grade 8 and 10 Alloy Chains and Components

Arbil provides several brands of quality alloy chain and sling components, from the competitively priced Cartec G8 and Crosby Platinum G10 ranges to the flagship Kuplex 8+10.

Investment decisions between Grade 8 and Grade 10 will often depend upon the exact loads involved and the customer’s existing fleet of product. Size for size Grade 10 has 25% more load capacity than Grade 8 and can provide up to a 40% reduction in sling weight when compared to a Grade 8 solution for the same load

Roundslings

Polyester Slings

Standard Flat Webbing Slings are supplied with webbing lined ‘soft’ eyes, other options include triangular end fittings and endless. Available in capacities up to 40t and beyond.

Flat Webbing Slings

Polyester slings provide an extremely low weight-to-strength ratio compared to the more traditional chain and wire rope options. These flexible lightweight slings are often the preferred option as they are less likely to scratch or damage the load. Wear sleeves offer additional wear resistance and improve durability.

Wire RopeArbil recommends the use of Grade 200 rope as the grade of wire rope affects both its ultimate breaking strength and overall life.

Arbil’s in-house wire rope manufacturing facility ensures a quick and flexible solution to customers’ needs.

Braided RopeArbil carefully selects braided fibre rope that is lower stretch, stronger and harder wearing than standard polyester braid on braid.

Braided rope is supplied as standard in white with coloured flecks, however, solid colours are available on request.

From a 25,000 ft2 site in the heart of The Black Country, Arbil maintains a substantial engineering and manufacturing facility. Service, Test and InspectionArbil’s dedicated Service Division has a considerable range of facilities throughout all its locations. The proper examination of wear or damage is achieved through a comprehensive range of machinery designed to strip, clean or polish component parts. Heavily contaminated and larger items utilise Arbil’s large long soak tanks whilst Arbil’s metal laundry system is utilised on all smaller items, and a large polishing box for chain refurbishment. This rigorous cleaning process results in a superior repair both in terms of functionality and aesthetics.

Arbil’s engineering facility contains all the necessary machine tools for milling, drilling, grinding, turning and finishing to ensure the correct fitting and mating of parts. All in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001.
