A warm welcome to those of you who have recently purchased or just moved into your new home! Inside our community newsletter, you will read all about our upcoming Member Mingler, Ladies Lunch Bunch, clubs, seminars and more!
Throughout the summer here at Esplanade we have had some fun with a catamaran cruise, family fun and even a paella party! Coming up this month, your Lifestyle Team has planned some exciting events to keep you engaged all month long, with a variety of activities, 4th of July pool party, living with alligators presentation and even a couple dance class. Be sure to sign up for all the fun things we have planned this month!
As always, we are happy to promote our concierge services as part of your inspired Lifestyle here at Naples Esplanade. We’ve recently announced the new Travel Adventures, with escorted trips to Napa Valley, Southeast Asia and South Africa! We have some friends already signed up for our 2 week Southeast Asia cruise. Learn about general hurricane season outlook, a little about
the tropics and the hazards tropical cyclones can bring. Gain
more insight regarding Collier County such as specific forms,
shelters, and re-entry rules. Be prepared in case disaster
strikes. All it takes is one! As a resident of a tropical climate,
this is a seminar you don't want to miss!

Summer is here!
Make adjustments today, so your home stays safe as the temperature rises. Check out our tips to keep your home healthy & cool, when it’s warm outside.
1. Make sure your air conditioning unit is in good working condition. Ensure that the fan is functioning well, the coils are clean, and there isn’t faulty wiring that could cause a fire.
Don’t forget to change your filter.
2. Check your windows for drafts. Windows should shut properly to maintain temperature control. Check the sealant around indoor and outdoor windows and replace it if necessary.
3. Use fans and ventilation to help cool your home. Fans are a good way to keep cool without relying on air conditioning. To conserve energy, ceiling fans should be on the counter-clockwise
setting and turned off when you’re not in the room.
4. Use your window coverings to help with temperature control. Blinds and curtains are a good way to keep sunlight out on hot days.
Close them to keep your rooms cooler and energy bills lower.

and go on a various fishing trips. Open to both men and women.
Cigar Club
The host provides light hors d’oeuvres, plates & silverware. The guests will bring a side dish, drinks and of course

Just hors d’ oeuvres
Each month, one member will serve as the hostess for a social at their home. The hostess will provide the mixers
and paper products. All participants bring an hors d’oeuvres to share.

Summer is officially here along with our daily rains and thunderstorms. With these storms comes heavy lightning so I wanted to take this time to remind you about lightning safety. Florida is considered by some to be the ’lightning capital of the world’. For those of you who have spent a summer in SWFL, you have no doubt seen Mother Nature’s wrath. For those who may be new to summer in Florida, I encourage you to visit http://www.lightningsafety.noaa.gov/outdoors.shtml for some very important information on lightning safety.
Summer also brings golf course maintenance and closures. Aerification is a ‘necessary evil’ that helps to keep your wonderful golf course in pristine condition during the season months. Because of these closures, we have again partnered with other local clubs to offer a fantastic reciprocal program to our members. This way, you all have the chance to visit other clubs to play their golf courses and check out the amenities they may have to offer. Please see above for some important dates to remember.
Those of you wishing to partake in the reciprocal program, please remember that during each of the above listed Aerification dates, the golf course and all practice facilities will be closed. The Golf Shop will be open between the hours of 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM each day during the closure. Please be sure to visit the club’s website at www.naplesesplanade.com to find our 2017 Reciprocal List along with the Reciprocal Request Form. These are also available in hard copy form inside the Golf Shop.

Dear Esplanade Residents,
Summer is here, and it is getting into the mid 90’s in the afternoon. Remember to stay hydrated and protect yourself from the sun. The Wellness Center pool is a wonderful way to cool off and get some exercise, please take advantage of it.
As you all know we need and encourage the rain due to the drought we have been in. When afternoon rains begin, everything will grow at a rapid pace. The landscaping companies will begin to mow once a week and weeds will begin to pop up overnight. Please reach out to me if you see any issues at your home or in common areas. As a reminder, personal golf carts are not permitted to be used on the walking paths, sidewalks or the golf course. They are to remain on the streets at all times. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me.
As the community continues to grow and more residents move into their homes, wildlife encounters are inevitable. We ask that you do not feed any of the wildlife within the community and please be
cautious when walking pets in the early mornings or evenings. Bear sightings have been reported.
