System innovationsOur ProFlex™, Veriti®, and SimpliAmp™ thermal cyclers have
updated color touch-screens for easy programming and
monitoring of your run status at the bench. Simulation modes
allow easy transition from previous thermal cyclers by simulating
the ramp speed of your old instrument.
VeriFlex™ technology—an innovative way to do PCRThe ProFlex™, Veriti®, and SimpliAmp™ systems feature VeriFlex™ Blocks for enhanced PCR functionality.
Separate Peltier blocks provide maximal versatility and flexibility, and offer these key benefits:
More precise control• PCR optimisation: each block can be set with up to
six specific temperatures, which is ideal for precise
control over PCR optimisation
A better-than-gradient approach• VeriFlex™ Blocks maintain their thermal
characteristics between optimising and isothermal
conditions, eliminating the need for further
optimisation steps
More than just for PCR optimisation• VeriFlex™ Blocks have an additional benefit over
gradient thermal cyclers: since the Peltier blocks
are separate, it’s possible to run up to six different
temperatures in the same protocol step (Figure 1)
• Tired of water baths? Incubate samples at up to six
different temperatures simultaneously for enzyme
activation studies, restriction digests, or sequencing
library preps

PCR amplification cycle. The Veriti® 96-Well Thermal Cycler can run six assays at six annealing temperatures during the same PCR run.

E-Gel® Imager SystemRevolutionising gel
electrophoresis documentation
The E-Gel® Imager System makes agarose gel documentation and analysis personal. Now you can get the power and features of a larger and more complex gel imaging system combined with the sleek footprint and affordability of a benchtop device.
• Affordable—the least expensive imaging system available with a scientific-grade camera
• Space saving—fits on most benchtops, light enough to be moved easily
• Easy to use—simple setup and intuitive software for analysis of E-Gel® gels or other agarose gels
• Quality images—capture sharp, rich images, even during a run, that can be analysed using powerful
Gel Quant Express software
• Convenient—with a personal imager you can reduce the wait time and the need to reprogramme
your settings that you would have with other larger, shared systems
A flexible system to meet your workflow needs
The E-Gel® Imager System is the perfect solution for
documenting any E-Gel® precast agarose gel, and it’s
great for self-cast gels as well. Each E-Gel® Imager
System includes a camera hood and interchangeable
base, and the bases are available separately as well.
Choose from these three base options:
1 Blue-light transilluminator – use to excite innovative
SYBR® dyes like those found in E-Gel® EX gels or in
SYBR® Safe stain
2 UV transilluminator – best for traditional ethidium
bromide-stained gels
3 E-Gel® Adaptor Base – allows real-time gel
documentation with compatible E-Gel® Go! or E-Gel®
iBase™ System/EGSI
Life Technologies™ | Benchtop equipment for your lab 7
There are three interchangeable filters to provide even greater
flexibility to capture images of various stains - including the orange
“universal” filter, a green filter optimal for SYBR® stains, and a red-
hued filter for use with Molecular Probes® Qdot® 625 products.
Do a quick check or more in-depth analysis
It’s easy to quickly capture an image any time you run a gel. For many
applications, estimating the size and quantity of nucleic acid in a
certain band in a gel is important for downstream steps. The E-Gel®
Imager Gel Quant Express software was designed for just this type of
image analysis after capture. Use this full-featured yet uncomplicated
software to document, quantitate, and analyse your results.
The perfect gel imaging solution
The E-Gel® Imager System is the perfect solution for documenting
and analysing your agarose gel results. Order your E-Gel® Imager
System today, and experience the exceptional flexibility and power to
capture and analyse images of your agarose gels more conveniently
than ever before.

Protein Workflow: Separate
• Easy sample loading—with a forward-facing well
configuration
• Less running buffer required—two separate gel
chambers, so you only need to load sufficient buffer for
each gel
• Simultaneous visualisation of both gels—streamlined,
side-by-side tank configuration
• Simplified monitoring of prestained protein markers—with the white tank stand
• Constant voltage or current settings
• Built-in timer for walk-away gel electrophoresis
• Output jacks that are compatible with most
electrophoresis devices
• The PowerEase® 300W can run four tanks using
Bis-Tris (NuPage®, Bolt®) mini or midi gels
Bolt® Mini Gel Tank
An innovative side-by-side tank for easy visualisation and faster sample loading. Its constant voltage allows Bolt® Bis-Tris Plus gels to be run in about 35 minutes, with a turbo protocol available to run gels in as little as 22 minutes.
PowerEase® 300W Power Supply
The PowerEase® 300W Power Supply is designed specifically for mini gel electrophoresis. The straight-forward, intuitive interface makes the powering of DNA and protein gel runs a simple and easy process.

Workflow label: Transfer and DetectiBlot® 2 Dry Blotting System
Designed to deliver self-contained, reproducible, and flexible gel transfer in 7 minutes. No need for buffers or an external power supply, and you don’t have to sacrifice efficiency or uniformity.
The iBind™ Western System—Hands-free western blotting
The iBind™ Western System is an automated, hands-free western blotting device that enables more consistent, sensitive, and faster western blots. It employs sequential lateral flow technology, allowing for the
timed release of primary and secondary antibodies through
mechanical pressure applied from the device to the iBind™ Card.
Glass fiber embedded in the iBind™ Card allows the antibody
and wash solutions to flow at a constant rate over the western
membrane, and a wick attached to one end of the iBind™ Card
pulls liquid across the card and membrane. Just load your
solutions and walk away.
• Compatible with multiple gel chemistries—(Bis-Tris,
Tris-glycine, and Tris-acetate) and membrane types
(PVDF and nitrocellulose)
• Flexible gel formats—transfer 1 midi or 2 mini gels
simultaneously
• Touch screen interface—for ease of use
• All antibody binding and washing steps are automated for you
• No electricity or battery required
• Compatible with HRP- and AP-conjugated antibodies
