A Legacy for Dad

“Megan” (not her real name) came into our center for a

pregnancy test. When it showed positive, she was

overwhelmed. Megan already had two small children and

did not know how she could manage being pregnant again.

Her counselor talked to her about God’s timing and asked

her about her faith. She cried and said that her dad, who

had passed away several years ago, had always talked to

her about “doing the right thing through the power of

Jesus”. He had talked to her about God’s way and the

importance of marriage. The counselor and Megan

connected well during their talk and she expressed that

she wished her dad could see her do the “right thing”.

The counselor assured Megan that it was not too late.

Megan chose Jesus and made sure that she will see her

dad in heaven someday. It was the gift of her unborn

child that set her on the path to getting right with God and

her boyfriend. Five years after her father passed away, his

love and witness saved the life of his grandchild and

resulted in an eternal legacy.

Ultrasound Saves Lives

Our new extra light portable ultrasound has already saved lives.    Every month nearly 50 women receive free pregnancy ultrasounds from our medical staff and volunteers.  The reactions are varied.  Some cry or laugh.   Others just ooh and aah.    Studies show that approximately 96% of undecided pregnant women will choose to carry to term after viewing an ultrasound.
