Isaiah 65:20

“There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.” We found an interesting commentary on this verse in the Question Corner of the April 9, 1896 Signs of the Times magazine. First, the question; then, the answer: “Is there any proof in Isaiah 65:20 that the wicked will live upon the earth 100 years after their resurrec-tion?” Answer: Nothing but inferential proof. Revelation 20:5, 8, 9 shows that they will live, that Satan will de-ceive them and martial them into armies. How long this will take we are not told in this Scripture. But might we not infer from Isaiah 65:20 that this would be a period of 100 years during which time the responsible lost child and the mature sinner would alike die at the end of the period? We merely suggest it.”

What Inspiration Says In The Great Controversy, pages 663 and 664 it describes what will take place on the earth after the 2nd resurrection when the wicked are raised up from the dead. It says: “Now Satan prepares for a last mighty struggle for the supremacy. While de-prived of his power and cut off from his work of deception, the prince of evil was miserable and dejected; but as the wicked dead are raised and he sees the vast multitudes upon his side, his hopes revive, and he determines not to yield the great controversy. He will marshal all the armies of the lost under his banner and through them endeavor to execute his plans. The wicked are Satan's captives. In rejecting Christ they have accepted the rule of the rebel leader. They are ready to receive his suggestions and to do his bidding. Yet, true to his early cunning, he does not acknowledge himself to be Satan. He claims to be the prince who is the rightful owner of the world and whose inheritance has been unlaw-fully wrested from him. He represents himself to his deluded subjects as a redeemer, assuring them that his power has brought them forth from their graves and that he is about to rescue them from the most cruel tyranny. The presence of Christ having been removed, Satan works wonders to support his claims. He makes the weak strong and inspires all with his own spirit and energy.

Satan is the world’s greatest

terrorist!

“The day that cometh shall burn them up … for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet” (Malachi 4:1, 3).

He proposes to lead them against the camp of the saints and to take possession of the City of God. With fiendish exultation he points to the unnum-bered millions who have been raised from the dead and declares that as their leader he is well able to overthrow the city and regain his throne and his kingdom. “In that vast throng are multitudes of the long-lived race that existed before the Flood; men of lofty stature and giant intellect, who, yielding to the control of fallen angels, devoted all their skill and knowledge to the exaltation of themselves; men whose wonderful works of art led the world to idol-ize their genius, but whose cruelty and evil inven-tions, defiling the earth and defacing the image of God, caused Him to blot them from the face of His creation. There are kings and generals who con-quered nations, valiant men who never lost a bat-tle, proud, ambitious warriors whose approach made kingdoms tremble. In death these experi-enced no change. As they come up from the grave, they resume the current of their thoughts just where it ceased. They are actu-ated by the same desire to conquer that ruled them when they fell. “Satan consults with his angels, and then with the kings and conquerors and mighty men. They look upon the strength and numbers on their side, and declare that the army within the city is small in comparison with theirs, and that it can be over-come. They lay their plans to take possession of the riches and glory of the New Jerusalem. All immediately begin to prepare for battle. Skillful artisans construct implements of war. Military leaders, famed for their success, mar-shal the throngs of warlike men into companies and divisions. “At last the order to advance is given, and the countless host moves on—an army such as was never summoned by earthly conquerors, such as the combined forces of all ages since war began on earth could never equal. Satan, the mightiest of warriors, leads the van, and his angels unite their forces for this final struggle. Kings and warriors are in his train, and the multitudes follow in vast com-panies, each under its appointed leader. With mili-tary precision the serried ranks [in perfect forma-tion] advance over the earth's broken and uneven surface to the City of God. By command of Jesus, the gates of the New Jerusalem are closed, and the armies of Satan surround the city and make ready for the onset.” (See poem on page 4 called, The Devil’s De-mise, written especially for this verse in the Bible.)

Remember that the earth is in a state of utter chaos; a vast devastation when the resurrection of the wicked takes place. It has been dark upon the earth for nearly 1000 years and In order for the wicked to prepare for war they are going to have to put things in order just so they can function upon this messed up world. We could go on speculating but if we will stick with the facts as described in the references quoted from The Great Controversy, there is plenty of evidence to conclude that 100 years is not an unreasonable span of time for all this to take place. Revelation 20 Paraphrased At the end of the thousand years, I saw God free Satan from his prison on earth and end his isolation by resurrecting the wicked. When Satan saw the unsaved from all the na-tions, called Gog and Magog fill the earth, he again sprang into action. The number of the wicked from all ages appeared to be as many as the sands of the sea. Then Satan persuaded them to join him in a battle against the City of God which had come down out of heaven and settled upon the Mount of Olives which had become a great plain. The wicked listened to him and began to make the most exotic weapons of war under his leadership. The day finally came when the wicked with all their guns and ammunition, tanks and other war ma-chines marched in perfect formation and surrounded the City of God where the saints were. Before they could launch their attack, I saw a great white throne. The form of the One who sat on it was so radiant that the earth and the sky seemed to disappear from His Presence. Then all the wicked stood together with Satan their leader. The Book of Life was opened and the Book of Death. The lives of the wicked were shown to them and they were judged by what they had done. [Then the time will come when all beings in heaven and on earth will bow at His feet. Everyone will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10, 11).] But this confession does not change their hearts. The wicked are bitter and angry at God. They still complain even though they know they deserve death. Fire comes down from God out of heaven and all whose names were not recorded in the Book of Life was consumed in the lake of fire together with Satan, the beast, who is the devil’s girlfriend and the false prophet. They were all punished with the second death which lasts forever.

At this time I feel very disconcerted, which the dictionary defines as follows: “To give a mental jolt; to be confused.” I feel a total lack of understanding as to why our church, which is supposed to consist of God’s elect people, why our church is not telling us what is really going on in the world. We have a government, who with the help of the Vatican, the Elite, the news media, the Jesuits and various other groups whose minds are being controlled by Satan, are doing everything in their power to bring us down as a nation and destroy us from within. Yet, we hear nothing about it from our leaders or in our church papers. We have the Pope from the Vatican who is in strong alliance with our president and government officials, in the process of passing a National Sunday Law, working to disarm us, bankrupt us, destroy our sovereignty, force us to pay large amounts of money on a false tax called “global warming,” taking away our freedom of re-ligion, prohibiting us to worship the way we believe and much, much more! Yet, none of this is being preached from our pulpits for fear of causing panic or undue alarm; or they say, “Just trust the Lord; don’t worry about it; God is in control,” which is all very true. But still there are many people within our church who have not the slightest idea how bad things really are in the world at this moment and they will be caught completely un-awares and unprepared when the time of trial and tribulation comes upon us. I do believe if these events were preached from the pulpit and in our publications, there would be a lot more in revival mode, down on their knees petitioning God for the salvation of their souls and trying to clean up their lives before it is too late. There are many people in our church and throughout the world who have been misled and greatly deceived into believing the lies our government and other agents via the news media are telling us. These have been set up to spread lies and evil propaganda to confuse minds about what is really going on, not only here in the United States, but worldwide. The enemy knows that his time is short and it has gotten to the point where God has allowed Satan to have more freedom to deceive and lead astray those who have not formed a close alliance with God. Brothers and sisters, our time is running out! We have no time left for procrastinating! We need to be prepared and get our lives in harmony with God’s will so that when we see Jesus and His holy angels coming in the clouds of glory we will not be among those who are crying out and praying for the rocks to fall on them and hide them from His holy presence! But among all these who are ignoring the signs or are ignorant of them, there are a few who will be able to say, “Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation” (Isaiah 25:9). I am looking forward to that day when we will be set free from this sick world and all of Satan’s traps and evil snares that he has been using to try and bring us down with himself and the evil angels. Let us get down on our knees and pray to God that He will come in, give us His mind and write His law in our hearts. Let us ask Him to show us what we need to confess to others and seek His pardon for our sins. Let us ask forgiveness for where we have failed to live up to His divine standard of righteousness. Let us seek for His mercy upon us; sinners that we are and ask Him to cover us with His holy wings to keep us close to His side and protect us from the enemy and his evil snares so we may be accounted worthy and prepared for His glory that will be revealed sooner than we think!
